Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas on how i should configure a ship for smuggling runs. right now i am using a rifter with 2 overdrives 1 1mn mwd 280mm howitzer carbine 2 launchers and 1 cloak. I use that for small things like small arms, drugs ect. BUT this weekend i managed to smuggle 400 slaves in a badger class hauler with no modules attached and didnt get caught by concord or customs. the trip was 6 jumps from amarr home world to grinacanne sys. to me that was blind luck. lol. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks C. Customs is supposed to retroactively scan the contents of your hold, including cans and holds of other ships iirc. Try using a covert ops ship, cloak+bm 4tw :)

it's only 'smuggling' if you have counterband on board... Slaves are legal in Amarr....

yeah ur right about them (slaves) being legal to buy in amarr. But buying them wasnt the problem.....where i had to take them, the galente federation, is. That is where i would have been hit with the 800% x market value x quantity which equals a big fine in isk.
right now the best idea i got is for a covert op frig with a covert op cloak and bookmarks which drop me off at the gates. i need to also figure a way to move larger quantities in a hauler now. that last run was a stroke of unbelievably good luck. considering i wsas in a barebones hauler with no modules and 400 slaves. lol C Dave

I have slaves in Gallente space currently but it will cost you big bucks, like 6 million for 400 slaves.

You have a 90% chance to be scanned at any given gate that is guarded by customs and/or CONCORD. That leaves a 10% cahnce per gate that you won't get scanned meaning you could get insanely lucky and make multiple jumps without getting scanned.
That or CCP could implement the black market trading skill properly and cut that down to a 40% chance to get scanned per gate.

There are ways to smuggle right now without 'sploits, without covert ops, without bookmarks and without stupid amounts of luck. Not my place to say what they are, however. ------------------------------------ I wish I had warred in the past. My wish, were it granted, would be to see the life fade from my enemy's eyes, feel his soul flee the crumpled vessel, the body of this man twitching his last, defeated, slumped, slipping from the end of my sword. Alas, I must content myself with hearing the soft, exquisite sound of my enemy's escape capsule popping under the loving caresses my weapons provide. -Uphial Thorms |

maby smuggling ships recievable from pirate agents would be an idea, 1000 m3 cargo hold, lots of cpu, no weapon slots -------------------------- Amarr but not proud of it!
