Moved to Events forum from EVE General Discussion - Jacques Archambault

Entry fee 100k, prize is a battleship...
If we assume that the battleship is a tier 1 battleship, the cost would be at least 60M (and this is cheap). To get the money back, you need 600 people (60,000,000/100,000=600) participating.

it started as a corp idea for some fun
sorry fen but i`ve got to say this, it isn`t publicly viable, specially not with 100k entry and a bship for price as it will be near impossible to get 50ppl paying 2.5mil for a tier 2 or 30 ppl pay 2.5 for a tier1

Heh, that'd make quite a blob on the map! If you get that many participants, I'd say call off the event and go take FoE space instead

I know I'd never get the same amount of isk that the battleships worth I just wanted to have fun. (You know in case any one forgot this is a game)
The Raven I was thinking about donating is mine. I was not thinking of getting the corp to fund it. Entrance fee would have been for the people who may run/referee the event.
Still considering it since I haven't recieved much of a response to my poll on Eve-i.

try and get this event sponsored by corp or eve radio or somethin and it will grow big... need lots of participants to make it fun
