(btw if the language things don't works for you, i tried before this playing to make him think i accepted the eula, using value i found on TQ while you just accepted it, but it didn't worked at all) |

I was able to reproduce this problem now.
Changing languageID in prefs.ini does indeed help.
Achaikos: Make sure, that you are in the correct folder. It is possible, that there are different folders for Singularity (for example if you start it sometimes through SisiLauncher and sometimes with /server:Singularity). You can try to rename all Sisi-related cache folders and then change the prefs.ini of the new folder after trying to start the client. You can try to rename all Sisi-related cache folders and then change the prefs.ini of the new folder after trying to start the client. I found 3 folders for singularity and changed the .ini files in all 3 from languageID=NL to languageID=en. After saving them properly restarting the latest testbuild for SiSi gives me the exact same result as before: no visible Eula. Bug report filed: 116912
EDIT: Found it. The letters 'en' after 'languageID=' have to be CAPITAL LETTERS......or it will not work....... So (at least for me), languageID=en doesn't work, languageID=EN does work. Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

These ID tags have to do with us changing the whole localization system and some parts are not 100% finished yet. There are several cases of missing strings, this is just one example. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance - Team Gridlock Mass-tests | Writing bugreports | Singularity |

Possible, but I have not checked the details yet. It is also possible, that this is related to the font changes. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance - Team Gridlock Mass-tests | Writing bugreports | Singularity |

Do not have any prefs.ini in my singularity. Got win7, how do I make one? Or is it even worth the trouble to even try to test anything? |

Searched for it in startmenu, but can not find ANY prefs.ini or anything named pref or similar for eve-online at all. Not even for my ordinary client. Maybe I have a ghost in my machine? |

I have the same problem. Although I did manage to find the cashe folders. After trying the 'rename the folders to get a new one' suggestion mentioned above, I did get a new cash folder for my test server client, BUT..... Its completely empty! No prefs.ini file, not even a settings folder! I even tried making a settings folder and a prefs.ini file with the langueID line in it, still dont work. Any suggestions? |

I'm using XP so its not just Win7 that is causing the problem.
EDIT: Got mine working now, edited my first post to explain what I did wrong. |

Confirmed got it fixed with the language edit
Anyway for all that could not find it in win 7:
C:\Users\Master\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE
if you are like me and has messed around alot before getting the test server proper you might have many folders there.
Just change the language settings in every folder if you are uncertain

So, there are diferent paths...
Windows Vista:
C:\Users\(name of system)\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\(any folder called "singularity")\Settings\prefs.ini
Windows 7:
C:\Users\(name of system)\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\(any folder called "singularity")\Settings\prefs.ini
Or just:
Search for "prefs.ini"
open the file prefs.ini which may be inside a folder called "singularity"
search "languageID=**"
change it by languageID=EN
Save and go meet your reset and disfigured avatar.

you have to change your folder settings if you don't make windows show all hidden things you can also type location on explorer, hidden or not he will go to it if it exists |

I had the bug, and I managed to find the prefs.ini files (multiple singularity related folders..). Changing of languageID worked.
For other winXp people: location was c:\documents and settings\*you*\local settings\application data\CCP\eve\*singularity related folders*

your computer is not on english ? (dunno if it works for german or russian) then there's good chance the issue is that ; the game try to find the EULA on your language, but the file does not exist. you need to change the setting to english
go to the settings folder, something like this : drive-where-windows-is\Users\name-of-your-computer\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\name-of-your-singularity-build\settings
C:\Users\(name of system)\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\(any folder called "singularity")\Settings\prefs.ini
AppData is a windows hidden folder, you may have to change folders settings if you don't see it
open file: prefs.ini
search line : languageID=**
change it by languageID=EN
(EN on capitals, or it won't works)
This one worked out for me, thanks |
