Sometimes I like to throw stealth EVE puns to my GF. She knows I play this internet spaceship RPG (and has played some RPG's in the past, but never any MMORPG) but more likely won't notice. It's kind of a personal enjoyment.
Like, we're walking late on a suburban street and she comments about how it can be dangerous when at night, and I answer "Yes, this is pretty low-sec". Or, as when she leaves she has a habit of saying "I'm flying" when she's in a hurry, I respond "Fly safe!"
So, how does your EVE career mix with your sentimental life and vice versa? |

Me and my dear Eve have a deep mutual understanding - she let's me play with her as long as I like and I pay her masters monthly tribute with fake currency. Total WIN-WIN situation if you ask me. |

Wife doesn't seem to even notice or care what I play or how much I play, as long as it doesn't cut into the "us time". Then again, I've been very light on EVE time lately (also on any other non-casual game times too). Also, all my EVE-related lines are in English, a language I almost never use with her, so they almost never come up. Weird how speech patterns/habits change when you change the language you speak in whenever you're familiar with several... hmm... http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/User:Akita_T T2 BPO poll: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=114789 Buying this: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=147098 |

Yeah, regarding language, I forgot to mention that I usually translate lines into my mother language. They don't sound as effective but it's stealthier that way. Just so she doesn't think I'm some kind of freak. . =P

True that.. for people who don't understand the beauty of a game and can't accept their significant other is a bit of a nerd ;) ..also hosting an internet spaceship celebrity in my thread :D |

I had a girlfriend once but I had to let her go when she gave me an ultimatum. I probably would've dumped her anyway because I don't respond well to ultimatums, but it was a fairly easy choice when she presented me with, "It's either me or that stupid spaceship game you play". I was given that ultimatum once. Nasty situation to wiggle out of, but I made it.

Yeah, you're caldari "A genius throws a Molotov cocktail and soon realizes that he's going to die choking in a maze of smoke and flame.
