Before I go ahead and buy oneGǪ
Lets say IGÇÖm in Jita with 5m sp and 8m isk worth of implants. My 6m sp medical clone is in Hek. I also buy a jump clone in Rens for easy access to nul sec and to protect my implants in Jita. So if I jump from Jita to Rens then get podded while in the jump clone, do I respawn in Hek, Rens or Jita?
Also, my skill queue slows down while in the jump clone without my implants, yes? And the info says, one jump clone jump GÇ£per 24 hrsGÇ¥.
So could you jump into the Rens clone at say 10pm Tue. Then jump back at say 1am Wed when I log off to make the most of the implants?
And Jumpclones have no SP limit?

Disclaimer: Did not read the replies, so sorry if I'm repeating stuff.
1.) You will wake up in Hek. **You always wake up in the location of your medical clone** 2.) You won't loose a jump-clone when you get podded. Say you have a clone in Jita (with implants) and Rens, when either of them gets podded, it will wake up in the medical clone position. The other one is still in it's old location. 3.) When jumping and downgrading implants (so if you jump from a +5 clone to a +1 clone) you will see your skill queue increase. Also keep in mind, if that last skill that just fitted your queue won't, it will be dropped from the queue. 4.) The 24h means, if you jumpclone now, your next ability to use a jump clone again will be in 24h. So your example: No, you jump clone on Tuesday 10pm, which means your next ability to jumpclone will be Wednesday 10pm or later. 5.) Jump-clones =/= medical clones. So have nothing to do with SP etc. REad the wiki about it, to tired to explain as it's already there.
**Now did read the replies**
6.) If you jump from your Jita clone to your Rens clone, the implants stay in the Jita clone.
You can only loose implants if: - You manually destroy them - Someone else destroys them for you (also called podding, loosing your pod). So if the implants are not in the clone you used / lost in a podding, they will still be in that other jumpclone.
You can only loose a jumpclone if: - You destroy it yourself.
I seriously suggest, pick the wiki of medical clones / jump clones. It will explain this and a lot more very very thorough. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Thanks for the guides, I've read them. But what they don't clarify is, if I wake up in Hek, how do I get back into the (non jump) clone in Jita with the implants?

That will become an option in the Jump Clone window so you'll have to wait for the 24hr timer to finish and then jump into the clone at Jita
So basically:
When you buy a Jump Clone you effectively have 2 "bodies" and a Medical Clone somewhere (Hek for you).
If you jump to the Clone in Rens you leave your body behind in Jita + its Implants.
If you then die you'll wake up in your Medical Clone and the Rens clone will be gone.
You can then choose to jump back into the Jita body you left behind.
Hope this helps xD |

One thing of note. There isn't really a non jump clone. The body you are born with is a jump clone, you just might not have jumped out of it yet.
So the body in jita is a jump clone too. Like the above poster mentioned you'd have to wait for your jump timer to be up then you could jump back into the jita body. |

Your implants stay in which ever body you put them in. They are physically wired into your character's brain, like a cyborg. So if you leave that body, your implants can't go with you to your new body since they are physically installed in your old body.
This is actually pretty useful as you can have different clones in different places with different implants depending on what you are doing or training.

Yourt SP does not reset when you die, unless you dont have an updated medical clone. You keep however many SP your medical clone is rated for. Its very important to keep up with this. You'll usually have to upgrade to the next clone up every month or two.

Not 100% true, you loose SP when you get killed in a Tech3 cruiser.
How ever this has NOTHING to do with your medical clone limit or so.
It just has to do with the SP you have invested in the T3 skills (aka what your skills tab says in the character sheet). Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. You lose a level of a T3 skill, when your T3 (Strategic Cruiser) is blown up.
There's no way to avoid that, if you're in the T3 when it goes pop.
Clones don't have SP.
You have SP.
You upgrade the medical clone to be able to hold you, when the clone that you're in at the time dies. If it's not upgraded, you're trying to cram a gallon of water, in a quart bottle. Some is lost. I have three jump clones and a "medical clone" (really just consider this a "save point" and forget the word "clone" altogether).
JC A (the one I'm in) is near Jita. My "save point" is set to another station nearby. JC B is near Amarr. JC C is in null sec.
If I am podded by a war target, I wake up at the "save point" near Jita. My "save point" becomes a jump clone in its own right when I wake up, so I still have three JC (including the one near Amarr and the one out in null), along with the "save point" in a medical bay.
If I jump to the JC in null sec, I now have:
JC A near Jita. JC B near Amarr. JC C (the one I'm in) in null sec.
My "save point" is still set to a station near Jita, and it would make a lot of sense for me to set it to a station nearby in null sec (if possible) immediately - as well as make sure it is up-to-date (provided I didn't already do that when I first woke up after getting podded).
Does that make more sense or did I just add more confusion? "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. GǪ" |

The only thing with a SP limit is the medical clone contract, clones like your "active body" have no limits. Medical clones and jump clones are nothing but physical shells. Paying for a medical clone with X mil SP is no more than paying different amount of insurance for your house depending on the amount of expensive assets you own. I know you lose SP when you die in a T3, but I doubt many people posting in the new character section are flying around in T3 Strat Cruisers so I didn't see it as relevant information.

jump clones have no specific sp limit however, there is a skill you need to train in order to use one. Infomorph psychology. Each level of the skill allows you one clone. You also, however, need standings to place a jump clone. Just having the skill does not allow you to install one. If you run missions with one entity and get the standings you can install a clone at one of their facilities that has a med center. If you are part of a null sec alliance that owns outposts then you can install jump clones at their outposts. Some of your alliances blue standings may also allow you to install jump clones at their outposts.
The only implants lost from being podded are the ones in the head of the current clone you are inhabiting. Other clones will still have their implants when you jump back to them. Also, dont jump to a clone in the same station you are in. You will lose your implants.

No doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong but I believe you can set up a jump clone in a station which you do NOT have standings with.
You merely dock at the station and jump to a clone you already have. This will leave your old clone at the station and saves on grinding standings. HOWEVER, this is only a one shot deal so has limited applications. My missus thinks of EvE as 'the other woman'. :) |

Yes you can have a jump clone at a station you do not have standing with but you can not install one in a station without 8.0 standing with the corporation who owns the station. |
