The system is processing all bills due over the last 3 or 4 weeks. This seems to be a process that scans all accounts for each billing peirod at a time.
Another process then sees if any bills have not been paid and then frees up the unpaid slot.
This cycle is happening every 30mins and not 3 days. The result being that anyone who has not been connected since the patch has lost all their slots.

Shoot, I have been connected and I just lost mine.
I don't mind the remote ones. The recent changes make them superfluous. But my core ones just got dumped too. I use those, but the game says I don't. It took away my lab that was in progress on a 2 week research shift. That's not in use?
And it's billing me every time I pay. So for now I'm not paying. Screw it.
I'm out of manufacturing.
What's more, I'm going to stay off the game for a while. I'll see if I feel like playing after a long break.
Patches seem to break as much as they fix. That bodes ill for my long term enjoyment.

Well players in the USA and far east are in for a shock, as all their slots will have been released due to this error/process.

Well, the factories and laboratories already ate all my cruiser BPs, so who gives a rat I won't have any factories and laboratories when I log in tonight? Not I.

My Corp has lost its Factory slots in a System where Factory slots are VERY hard to come by aswell and this is EVEN if WE used the Slots. I was using them last night.. We got some bills that are now paid.. so Now we have no slots since we didn't get the bills at times where they should have been issued. so now because we were behind on payments.. of bills that didn't come untill after downtime my corp has no more slots and no future of seeing them returned. I would like to ask CCP next time to INCREASE the grace periode or atleast rethink the way this was implemented.

Hellmar,
Can you provide any background to the main issue of all producers having lost their slots.
Also talking to people, so have their BPs but others do not. It looks as if BPs are being returned from slots that were in production before the patch, but not ones that were installed after the patch, but before the slot was lost due to the next billing cycle.

I do not think that the CCP team expected this to happen, as any real time system is complex.

we had the same problem, rented slots (rented after the patch) were released very soon (less than one hour), and we lost millions with that...
we need quite a few slots, but they are taken away whether we used them or not...
we tried to keep the best ones and payed... so a few million isk gone with the wind, and we got NOTHING for that...

there are one more bug: Actually, we are paying twice all the time. First time it is just silently taking money from your account, then it send you a bill, and then you have to pay second time.
I see it all the time when i rent slot.
