Thank you to Ms Lagann and her colleagues at Tyrathlion Interstellar for their support in this matter. Remember, only confirmed 'ship kills' are eligible for pay outs. Capsules cannot retrieve or defend those vessels retrieving the criminals stranded on that planet at present. I doubt I need to remind that the Guristas are directly guilty of, and Nation guilty of by proxy through assistance rendered, breaching sovereign State territory and assaulting an evidently civilian facility.
The lack of experienced ground personnel, as inferred by the Guristas transmissions last week, and the sick pleasure they took in slaughtering them and watching the fatal mistakes made by some individuals attempting to defend themselves with little or no military training, indicates that this act was little more than a band of psychotic killers indulging their sick needs in the pursuit of a hitherto unknown objective.
To answer the questions posed by some pilots, the system is a 0.4 system in Caldari State Territory, in The Forge region, by the name of Ohkunen. The second planet, to my knowledge, was the site of the original attempt to retrieve the Guristas marines sent to the surface. This last piece of intelligence may require corroboration.
Due to the nature of the pilots attracted to incidents such as these, I urge Caldari officials to exercise caution and allow capsuleer forces engaged in the destruction of hostile assets full remit to hold the field until the job is done. We as capsuleers are at present unable to action unauthorised planetary transit, leaving the Guristas marines at your mercy once the skies clear. CEO of Nisaba Syndicate

From what I am hearing, the Gurista succeeded in getting their people and the discovered tech off the planet, in the face of the CONCORD, Caldari, and Capsuleer aggression.
TS-F played a vanguard role, preventing access to gates and camping enemies into stations. We, personally, received no losses.
In short: Nice try. |

In a rather confusing operation the Guristas succeeded in their goals. I tried to assist them but all I succeeded in was to draw some attention away from them during their operation. Mildly suprising, I emerged unscathed from the whole thing. All in all, it was a rather small scale event.
My suggestion for next time would be a liason officer to gather lone supporters into a fleet so they can be much more effective in helping you out. |

I can confirm two Guristas battle cruiser kills, with the final blows scored by Ninavask, which are eligible for the bounty scheme. Due to the battle cruiser hull not being covered in my original statement, I have awarded the Battleship amount of reward - in this case a total of 100 million isk to the pilot in question (2 * BS amount at the Objective Incomplete level of pay out).
Should any additional kills have been scored between 10:00 and 11:00 ETC, please notify me, with a valid DED kill report, as soon as possible. CEO of Nisaba Syndicate

Was it worth it? Sadly battlefield conditions kept us from harvesting the wrecks of the ships we destroyed, and thereby saving the people. 1 Battleship, 1 Battlecruiser, and 1 Cruiser's worth of crew, sadly destroyed in attempting to stop what is, in the end, a humanitarian mission coming off the vicious attack on an ecological preservation work.
Your blind attention to CONCORD designation of who is a pirate and who is a not has cost many, many lives today. |

I consider any effort to keep State property in State hands to be worth executing. The continuing cognitive dissonance that seems to drive you to publicly humiliate yourself, Tiberious, by attempting to spin the situation to serve the needs of your particular brand of sickness is really evidence of the damage Sansha loyalty does to one's mind. At the end of the day, you killed those vessels, and you killed those people. Some would probably consider that more ethical than what you would have done to them should you have been allowed to salvage the wrecks...
Needless to say, the Guristas were successful in their attempts due to unknown sympathisers in a local station providing safe harbour despite capsuleer efforts. It is my hope that capsuleer pressure on the CEP to investigate any complicit individuals within the corporate hierarchy of said station, may provide additional traction on this issue, but for now it is out of our hands. Oh, we killed them, certaintly. However, there was no reason for them to be placed in the line of fire in the first place, except that they were likely trying to claim the bounty you placed on Gurista vessels during their operation; An operation which I will remind you had no immediate potential harm to the state.
The Foundations actions in the last days, regarding the Gurista, have been driven entirely by reaction to what appeared to be overwhelming and frankly inexplicable capsuleer interest in blowing up a group we consider to be allies. I do not apologize for the actions of Centus division in this, and am only glad that Creators division has no additional work in ReAwakening our own fallen brothers and sisters, or in replacing ships lost, as there were none.
I extend my congratulations to the members of Centus division on their utterly successful operation, and to the Guristas representatives on the successful rescue of their comrades. We of the Foundations mourn for the losses of the crews of the ships piloted by Ohminem Sin and Tartila Hakkan, and of course to any capsuleer affiliates of the Gurista who lost their ships and crews to the predations of the CONCORD affiliates, and apparently in some cases members of the Angel Cartel. |

Ah, demagogism. Allow me an observation, Thessalonia.
It is nice to see you rally so quickly to the other end of the cluster to help your beloved allies with attacking a planetside installation under caldari sovereignity, then paint the subsequent extraction of pillaged goods and survivors of the assaulting force as humanitarian in nature.
You must be desperately trying to secure the moral highground if you consider the argument of "It's their own fault that they got killed by us." of helpful in this case. Bonus points are awarded for being highly judgemental of any capsuleer who uses force - slanting their reasons as excuses for mindless violence - yet acting at the very least equally worse.
In truth, the words you're artfully using here are the same basic routine any pirate uses to justify his actions against law and ethics.
I do hope you are enjoying the blindfolds you're wearing.

Actually, we are living not far away, in Placid, at the moment. This didn't significantly conflict with ongoing mission parameters. Happy coincidence! |

I would like to thank Ms Lagann and her colleagues at Tyrathlion Interstellar for their financial contributions to this effort. It is my hope that the lawful pilots of the four empires will come to realise that though military might is always required in the fight against barbarism and insurrection, there are many forms of contribution. It is a large cluster, but in the interests of preventing gross acts of territorial violation, and preserving the status quo, those right-minded pilots with the means or skills to contribute to the prosperity and safety of their home nation have no higher calling.
With regards to more immediate matters, I have been assured by an NOH aligned capsuleer that though he does not have direct insight into the station responsible for harboring Guristas elements, Internal Security forces are investigating claims of low-level corruption. It is believed, at this time, that the Guristas attack was likely a brazen attempt to win respect or mimic the activities of the Angels attacks that occurred recently within the Republic. The follow up rescue operation, usually indicative of materiel recovery, seems to have been motivated by erroneous cost analysis on the part of Guristas command, possibly even insubordinate action spurred by misplaced familial loyalty to those stranded criminal elements. The sacrifice of so many crewmen for mere showmanship and recovery of 'known individuals' at the expense of the lives of what they must consider to be faceless 'probationary members' is deplorable and indicative of Guristas moral bankruptcy.
It is our conclusion that, at this time, it may safely be assumed that Guristas forces are not in possession of State materials or product development that is not already in wide circulation. It is up to State authorities to investigate deeper into such matters, but should it be required, State loyal Capsuleers stand ready to assist in investigatory and humanitarian work should it be requested. Word on the street is that you... Somewhat changed allegiance in the very recent past. I'm intrigued to know if your perennial dedication to the Guristas cause shifted to some other shadier, secluded (it seems their territory is not even reachable from the cluster) alliance.
I hope you will be able to reply.

From what I understand, the Gurista transport was nuked on ondock by the caldari Navy.
This leads me to ask why the Gurista did not do the same technique as used by capsuleers since our ascendancy.

Could be that the pirates have spent too much time shooting at the local Capsuleer industrialists and they are blacklisted by ever single reliable shipping service. They have to rely on their own ships to move sensitive freight. Which can be a problem when you send two frigates and an industrial ship to undock from a station surrounded by a hundred capsuleers... The Gurista have money, true, but I'm not sure any would accuse the ones in the Forge of being terribly bright. |

I was in attendance with my Basilisk crew in an attempt to limit casualties when the Guristas undocked into a horde of waiting Capsuleers and a significant contingent of Navy Tengus. There was a minimal loss of life, though I should have preferred that the target be webbed and disrupted to a standstill - there were more than enough ships capable of doing so. This would have been not only the more humanitarian choice, but also the more strategic. Still - operation successful.
I was quite dismayed by what happened next, however. The Navy contingent fled, coinciding with the arrival of a hostile fleet from the Goonswarm Federation! I had thought that, given the events of the spring and the yearly aggression the GSF has against the Empires, plus the significant numbers of DED-loyal Capsuleers present, they would have at least put up a fight for State territory? Could a State Navy representative please explain the reason for this? I'm sure that I'm missing an important element here. Was there some sort of emergency elsewhere? |

Knowing the State Navy there must've been an emergency at the bar in their station HQ. Drinks half off. I mean, the target industrial ship was destroyed. The two measly Gurista frigates fled. No reason to stay and protect State citizens against the dozens of incoming hostiles. |
