Nothing fires me up much more in EVE than dishonorable pilots. I see these guys in local...and their corp says they are "elite". So I ask them for a 1v1, they tell me that one of their members can't leave local because he's "afk". Sure, I believe you. So I go for it anyway...and what should happen to be at the safespot, unsurprisingly not 1 but 2 battleships waiting for me:

Does noone in EVE have any guts and honor anymore?
Just had to vent...and let the community know that the only thing "elite" about these guys is their cowardly ways. |

Yeah I made the geddon warp out and then got out myself...still really irritating that people are such wusses...if you don't want a 1v1 just say you don't...no need to try and gank me then embarass yourself. |

I was going to say contact their CEO in case the members were bad apples, but actually zena rocks is the CEO. Oh, well, message SA and let them know what a loser corp SPQR is.
Of course, maybe having a lot of corps like SPQR is the reason Stain has problems now in the first place.
Anyway, not a good idea to 1v1 somebody with negative security and with a name like "zena rocks" probably a kid as well. Possibly your lust for battle got the better of your judgment?

That was a good bit of the point in trying to 1v1 them. They were trying to gank at a gate and we showed up with a good number of ships and they ran off...Then they said "of course we run from a fleet". So I had to request a 1v1 just to prove that they are wusses. |

Yup.. these guys have been trying to snipe folks in X-M last few days now, we attacked em with a covert ops and they lost a armageddon..
But the next day some idiot from *imperium* itself actually warned them that we were about to jump in to try and kill em again..

Way to stand up for yourself. Now everything is great, and what you did weren't cowardly at all...
Fact is, you pulled a lousy trick, and tried to grief another player out of his ship. But when it came to the actual combat, you couldn't take him down even with 2 to 1 odds. So to the original poster, now you know who you can't trust. Next time just bring a covert ops mate, and kick them back to the stone age.

You are so uber MK, I wish I could be as cool and funny as you I, for one, think Sabri has a valid point. Instead of the stock "you want a tissue, a cookie, a hug, ect....." why dont people call crap like that for what it really is?
I have been a "pirate" for a very long time now and I would never do that, if for no other reason than I am not a *snip* and I would not want anyone doubting my ability. In other words I have some pride. If I get beat fine, if I win fine, but at least I am still a man about it.....not some little boy smacking in local and then acting like a scared little child. This seems to be a common theme in this game.....lots of people that talk the talk, but cant walk the walk. Too many people who's mouths write checks their *snip* cant cash.
People like this SHOULD be shamed. Instead of being part of the problem MK, why dont you become part of the solution? If it was not considered acceptable to act like this or if it were "uncool" with the majority of the player base maybe more people would grow some balls......or just *snip* learn their place.

I think you'll find that that the majority of players already think like that. There's probably a lot more people that have read this and formed a negative opinion of Praetorian Industries than will ever post about it.

But a warning to all pirates / pvpers that they shouldn't take lightly is that if your opponent doesn't have a reputation to keep clean then he'll probably bring all his friends to the duel.
Empire people mostly do it, although some crappy fighters in 0.0 will do it too.

Honestly...I mostly did it because I knew what was coming and figured I'd call them out on it afterwards. They look bad now, and as well they should. |

Congrats. You managed to convince someone to agree to a 1v1, then lost a 2v1 against him.
