There's a nice frigate called an osprey, it mines alot.

Dude, that's a cruiser.
Look for something that has low slots for cargo expanders... (but do *not* use named ones on a frig ;))
The Tristan is pretty cool.

Last time i looked (which was a looong time ago), Osprey was a cruiser, but i agree with that, skip the frig and just get an Osprey, it's slightly better than the Scythe. but if you have to use a frig for mining just use something like a Bantham while you wait til you can fly the Osprey.

I suggest getting something that can mount two miner2's, the probe can't do that. So going with Matari ships I'd suggest mining in the Vigil. Of course this is only for Jetcan mining..

If you have named miner Is, than 3 of them are slightly better than 2 miner IIs. The punisher is ideal for this due to its 4 lo slots to fit co-processors on to be able to fit all 3. This is only if you are jet/secure can mining though. If you're going to just mine into your hold use a bantam or imicus.

Bantam i would say since it it got some bonus that mining lasers draw less cap so it can have mining laser 2's, then it is pretty close to get an osprey after that since it is the same race.

Hi heres my 3 cents.
Well first off what race is your miner that could make things easier for training a such.
Second if that doesn't matter to you I enoy the gallente ships.
Frig that has most cargo and receaves a 60% to mining cap useage is the Imicus
Then you can go to cruiser and get then Exequror it has a 10% bonus to cargo capacity per lvl
In my opoin the Gallente industrial ships are the best out there for there class I have 2 days left to receave My Itron mark V
I am largely a miner and have put the time in to get the retreave Mining barge witch is awsome. I can fill a mark IV up in about 10 mins wich I think is fast  not sure if any one else would.
