Ignoring the completely pointless blurb at the front of the website, can you please state categorically if there will be a rollback? Have you guys finished analysing the impact of the error in the billing/slot release system and decided whether it has caused enough damage to the structure of the player's universe to warrant a complete rollback? Many corps are currently trying desperately to regroup and there are a lot of people who would dearly like to know.
Thanks for any light you may shed on the matter

I'm sorry but this Factory/lab situation has caused alot of grief. A rollback is badly needed. If the bills had been presented they would have been paid. Now it seems my bills are still behind; another month or so to catch up but, all but 3 of our slots have been snapped up. If you're going to do stuff like this the playing field should be even. The current situation is far from it. Rollback! Rollback! Rollback! Rollback! Rollback! Rollback! Rollback! Rollback!

imagine this (it happened to us)
a lot of bills come. we pay. 1 h later again a lot of bills arrive. we pay. 1 h later again a lot of bills arrive. we pay 1 h later again a lot of bills arrive. we're out of money.
i think a lot of corps lost millions of isk and still lost their slots. some BPs disappearing.
a lot of things went REALLY wrong...
and btw: bill arrives, you do not pay. slot unrented. you rent it again. next (old) bill arrives, you do not pay. slot unrented again. although it was rented again AFTER the patch.

Put on my glasses and still cannot see where you are pointing. Where exactly are these dev blogs?
I am assuming we are not talking about the EVE Information Central
or other posts under this forum
Found the dev blogs under player website off the first page thanks.

Well I know I didn't lose as much as some people, but this is ridiculous. I had always received bills for 4 factory slots I had on one station. These were the only slots I had left before the patch. I have the skill for 3. I paid rent on Tuesday. I have used 1 or 2 since then. They are all gone. No refund.......

Look under Player website/dev blog. They will double the factories thus giving them back to the players that had them. /Phoibos

"We realize that 2. quite unfair, but it does not merit a rollback." -Hellmar
So basically, if you lost slots that were in use, they are going to give them back, and if you lost a lot of research time because you lost a slot that was in the middle of research... well that sucks for you.

Yeah that's basically it. Lost research time sucks for a few hundred people, a rollback sucks for everyone.

While a roll-back might be a simple solution, it would only seem logical if the man hours required and resources required were less than those required to correct the problems through manual methods.
Judging from the most recent statement (Dev Log) regarding the troubles encountered during the last roll back, it can be assumed the current number of problems DO NOT warrant a rollback.
It has been stated by CCP they will rectify the issue, so let us let them choose the method.

I am thinking about to quie EVE. They just destroyed the results of 2 monthes of my affords. I had manufacturing empire yesterday, but today i lost everything, just because of stupid bug, and stupid CCCP, which dont wanna roll back.
This is so STUPID! Everybody see, that ROLLBACK is required, but CCP! Of course, CCP always have its own SPECIAL opiniton.

Why not Rollback, Fix the logs of unpaid rents/ errors in the script, then implement the patch again.
This time you want have to flood the market with hundereds of factorys like you didnt plan on in the first place being in the game Then nobody had to waste nothing more then TODAY on EVE
Just a thought

Yeah we had 5 of the 6 research slots the corp owned release for no reason and of course they immediately got rented out by someone. Thay had been used. rent was paid up, hell some of them were in use and they spit out the BP and cancelled the rent by themselves. GM answer, "SOrry there's nothing we can do." And my reply was "Has anyone ever told you that you are useful as **** on a boar?" This crap is no way to treat paying customers, beta is supposedly over.
Life isn't fair and neither is Eve. Get over it. |

We are a small corp and yes we had to many factories (last ceo bought them up ) and i was devesting us of some of them now im siting here trying to find out if we have any left why not impoze a limit insted of striping labs

HE YOU OUT THERE ... You USED THAT Resources to waste them, to produce, to keep others from doing so ...
AND NOW YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT !!!
I myself paid for my SLOTS (1xfactory, 1xresearch) ten times ... IT IS OKAY I USED IT
But you scrap of cheaters only have stocked them ... AT LEAST YOU SHOULD PAY FOR IT !!!!
Good done, let all that cheaters and exploiters suffer !!!
PLEASE CCP INCREASE THE COST OF RESEARCH SLOTS A LOT THEY ARE TOO CHEAP, 1000isk is a joke.
GO on good work is starting !!!
"Get lost cheaters and exploiters"

Aaaah Von Thoma....nice rant, little brains, but nice rant.
Clearly unencumbered by the ability to read which helps you make informed decisions, its nice to see that you have mastered the art of the Caps Lock. Well done!
The changes haven't just hurt the 'cheaters and exploiters', but they have hurt the small corps with few members that had two research slots working away for their hard won BPs.
Hopefully someone may read this to you so that you can ignore it and continue with the rant.
