T2 guns used to have a small tracking advantage over t1 guns, now the only benefit they offer for the increased grid and cpu needs is the 2% to 10% damage boost you get from your skill for hybrids it looks even worse, as there the named guns need less cap than t1 and t2 guns I admit i have only looked at this on tranquility, so i have no idear whether this is fixed in the test surroundings

The Large blasters are the most rediculous pieces of trash ever. They use soo much CPU. The electron cannon isnt so bad. The Tech I uses 50 and Tech II uses 55. Then we have a jump to Ion which uses 60!! and 66! The Neutron uses 65 and 72.
It really is a joke, an 800mm for example only uses 39 and 41. I understand that in general hybrids use more CPU, but why should they? Seriously, the megathron probably has the biggest CPU problem of all battleships. Reduce the CPU usage on these weapons (same applies for railguns).
Even if the electron used 45 and 49.5 it would still use over 20% more CPU than the largest close range projectile weapon.
The Ion should then use 50 and 55 and the Neutron 55 and 60. It is my belief that the megathron does not need boosts to grid/ cpu but these weapons need a reduction.
I think the electron probably is what it was meant to be but the Ion and Neutron seem to be way out of line.
Mimiru > It'd be a tie, the monkies nerfed pooflinger wouldnt have enough tracking to hit the parrot orbiting him, but the parrot's beak is so small it couldnt break the monkey's fur tanking. |

the problem with the t2 ammo is you get rediculous penalties for using it. for example - tracking, -pg. it's really stupid if the stats listed in eve-i are true. Director, Divine Retribution

The entire hybrid class is ****** up in the first place.
And you are comparing T2 guns to proto/modulated/etc named guns.......which,all things considered, are a whole lot rarer......

Can you say "placeholder stats"?

T2 guns also benefit from the skill to utlize them that gives a 2% boost in dmg per level.
So a T2 gun with its specialization skill at level V, more or less gives 2*5 = 10% more damage. So its like having an extra dmg module with you all the time. Therefore T2 if you can fit them, are far superior to T1 guns even with T1 ammo.

T2 artilleries and howitzers used to have a small tracking advantage over their T1 counterparts, this extra tracking was removed when the projectile fix came into TQ.

Ok. Lets say you're a fleet commander, which would you prefer to have in your battleline, a deimos with tech 2 equipment, or a megathron with tech 2 425mms?

point is still: you cannot fit anything bigger than ELECTRONS on MT, if you want to have blasterboat. This is like fitting cruise launchers on raven, dual heavy pulses on apoc etc. Fix those guns plz, except if blasters are ment to be used on caldari bs-s.

I know quite a few people who fit DHPs on their Apocs. They work quite well, actually.

A big advantage of T2 regular guns is that you can actually make them rather than the other T1 named guns which you have to find. ~
