Here's the catch 22 to the situation;
If the price of ice products see's inflation, the rest of the game will see inflation. So nanoribbons, loot, salvage, bpc's, bpo's, and every service in the game will cost more.
So while I will pay more money, I will make more money. And while they are getting people to gank, they will be making money from the market fiasco they are creating. This is EvE, opportunity cost rules. They are cutting themselves short and can't do it indefinitely. Since everything is inflating, they will still lose more opportunity cost than they gain.
The only market with exceptionable money to be made on during all this? PLEX. And you already have have had the PLEX beforehand.
And the RMT ******* and botters already have plenty.
Brilliant strategy.

Especially for known botters and gold sellers. I'm confused isn't rmting where we sell isk for cash why would we then buy plex with the cash
Whats confusing? PLEX rises with the cost of inflation. So people use it like gold currency.
If you had billions in bot income wouldn't it be smart to invest it and make more?

I don't know about you I would consider a player entity controlling (or at least limiting) access to a resource in order to manipulate its price pretty much the definition of 'player-generated' content.
The players want physical content, not metaphysical content. Using the intangible definition of the word to make it look like something the players want is intellectually dishonest.
