Here is an idea instead of nerfing the Supercarriers.
Time for CCP to reintroduce the Mothership and give it the unique role such name deserves.
Only one Mothership can be owned by an alliance but available anytime by directors to assign to a qualified pilot when needed. It would not be player owned but alliance owned.
Mothership would be totally invulnerable to every ships except other Moms and would cost hundreds of billions. It would have the ability to lock only other Mothership and Supercarriers.
A ship that can eat Supercarriers one by one and slowly cut through an enemy Mothership.
Having such unique ship and role would greatly help with the actual Supercarriers problem and here is why:
It would be a tough decision to deploy 20 supercaps on the field without knowing the enemy Mothership location. If you go with the gamble and the enemy cyno his Mom few minutes later, then out of 20 Supercaps, 16 dies and only few manages to get out luckily. The unique Mothership weapon could be something like target powercore overload system or such.
The mothership can not be fielded at the early stage and can only be called for reinforcements only if enemy Supercaps or Mom is present on the field. This to avoid dominance of the entire fleet by fielding the Mom with 20 Supercaps agains a station for example.
You get the basics of the idea and I think there is something to dig here to rebalance the game without creating a new balance problem.
What do you think of that idea?

No. Remove the "super" tag off of super caps and just make them tier 2 caps(balance accordingly). The current system is unbalanced as it is so theres no need to expand on it further. |

So, every single 0.0 alliance in EVE splits off into 10 man alliances, and maintains precisely the same organizational structure and blue list. What then?

First, I guarantee all enemies would know the location of the singular mothership at all times in nullsec. And second, I feel really, really sorry for the poor bastard who owns that ship, getting calls at 4AM to log in NOW NOW NOW. This idea is fundamentally flawed. |

I have a better idea, just implement a new game mechanic and allow for "Motherships" to capture supercaps and handle them to friendly pilots.
Actaully the whole concept of capturing enemy ships in a battle would be wicked... let's say you fly a CovOps and "hook" on the supercap and "drop" some Marines, and once enough Marines are onboard then the supercap pilot is forcibly ejected and the ship is abandoned free for all... ready to be taken over by a pilot on your side. Why bring supercaps when you could capture enemy supercaps on the fly? 
(now get carried over and say there were some actual dust bunnies rather than virtual marines onboard the ship... ) I should had never left X3: Reunion |

Also paint them pink and require owners to play with matching colored toe nails.
I see no problems here whatsoever ---- CONCORD arrested two n00bs yesterday, one was drinking battery acid, the other was eating fireworks. They charged one and let the other one off. |

You are right, please CCP, move this useless post to "Features and Ideas suggestions" section since your community is not willing to discuss any other solution except the nerf bat one.
I am sure 20 nerfed SC vs 20 other nerfed SC is the best solution around. Let's go for it.
