You have got to be kidding me. This patch is evidence that CCP has no idea how to manage a gaming comunity. Five minutes to drop a canister... did they even stop to think what this has reduced corp mining to?

Cut the crap CCP stop fixing things with sledge hammers. It's getting to the point where this game is not even fun to play anymore. Our corp lost all of our factory slots in one fell swoop and now it takes 5 minutes to drop an ore can? Thank god i had the presence of mind to check and re-rent out slots.

I just dont get it... you can't make sweeping changes like this... subtle, small tweaks is what you apply... a little fix.. if its not enough, change it a bit more next time, and more the next time... until the balance is found.

CCP you just don't have the accumen to run a game. Sure you can write fantastic code, but you have no clue how to manage people and that just plain sucks. Get your act together or get another line of work.

how does this effect mining? you simply drop a canister, open it up and drop your freshly mined ore into it. the canister will last for an hour...so a 5 minute timer is nothing.

try it.
after successfully extracting ore your indy pilot will no longer see fresh ore placed in the canister.. so guess what... make a new canister... see you in five minutes.

i see. so i guess we'll just throw thinking right out the window.

when the timer is up just jettison a new container and shift the ore from the frist container to it so that the indy pilot can see it.

What is needed is a better way of transfering ore to your industrial. The jettison cargo containers were not meant to be for mining. I think maybe they should implement mobile detachable platforms to load industrials. These would allow you to safely store ore for the industrials to pick up. No cargo container jetisoned, no stupid container thieves. It would answer all of our miner complaints.

Or knowing the capacity of the indy a miner could call him over when he has a full load to haul?

Otherwise the indy can mine with its one (or two) lasers for a little extra cash.

im not trying to get you upset but why should I have to keep moving it from one canister to another constantly timing each canister? It is the most absurd notion ever.

Even using trade windows with the indy pilot would be better than this. This 'fix' to pirate griefing is a royal pain. Considering the large scale mining that we are involved in... flagging down the indy is not a good option.

Ship to Ship Transfer sounds cool. It would even make sense to have it automated, if there was a distance limitation like the cans. Would make mining teams easier to work with, help to get rid of the complaints regarding stealing from cans, and deal with cans refreshing their contents.

I thought the idea of having cans was so you could fill the can up since some cruisers have crap for cargo...then the indy could pull up and pop the can....am I wrong here?
