Sorry for the question but I have read so much information I'm getting confused.
I'm trying to make a basic reaction with 1 x "mined" moon mineral and 1 x "purchased" moon mineral.
I was going to setup the POS in the following format and several people have told me to forget about coupling arrays.
MH-R-S-S ----/ S (second mineral)
Have I totally lost the plot ?
Thankyou |

Needs to go like this:
Output of moon harvester to input of Reactor Output of silo with purchased moon material to input of same reactor.
Output of Reactor to input of a silo.
MH+S>R>S
Hope that helps
Word of warning though. You are unlikely to make enough isk for it to be worth your while unless you go for a complex reaction or your mined material is extremely valueble.

don't user a Silo between MH and R .... all you produce from oon will be used IN the reaction so a Coupling Array is Good enough

I believe the silo is for the bought material

Edited by: fredolic on 23/03/2005 11:56:12 Heres the final setup I managed to get working.
MH ---- R----S
S1------/
S1 is for the bought material.
I was thinking about changing it to ....
MH ----- R ----- CA -------S
S1---CA--/
S1 is for the bought material.
And I would like to thankyou for you help.

Actually you had it correct the first time. Seeing as you posted just before me, I've edited this. Why would you want to put coupling arrays in there? There really is no point.

I thought (and I could be totally wrong as per normal) that to either fillup the bought material silo or to empty the completed silo I need to put them offline.
So if I put a CA between the input silo and the reactor and between the reactor and the output silo I could fill and empty without interrupting the process.
Have I lost it ?
Thankyou

You're right, you do have to put them offline. We've just never worried about interrupting the process I guess really. The silo is only offline for about 3 minutes. /shrug

How it should be
You will have to offline the silo's every so often to empty / fill them. Doesn't mean stopping the reaction

Edited by: Crayathan on 23/03/2005 13:29:05 You need to drag the right hand mineral on the bought silo and harvie icon to the corresponding left hand icon on the reactor, then the right hand reaction on the reactor to the icon on the left of the silo you are filling then click apply

Exactly what Cray said. You need to make sure that everything is correctly "linked". Once you link everything correctly and hit apply, the moon harvester will change from saying "Online" in black font to "Online-Active" in red font. The reactor will go from saying "Onling" in black font to "Online-Starting Up" in red font.
