Heya! i been hearing allot about dust and wanna play it bad but dont have a PS3 lol. but i been thinking that eve needs more dust involvment! so here are some ideas i had.
1. Troop Transportation - i was thinking it would be cool if ships rating from Cruiser + could have a troop contingent from probably 15 and up, like cruisers have 15-20 and battlecruisers could have 20-30 and battleships 30-90 maybe. allow soldiers to be transported if they wanted from one pvp field to another for warfare
2. allow troops being transported by corporate ships to be moved to TCUs to assist in defending them from enemy players.
3. EVE view. in eve online we see minimal contact with dust aside from orbital bombardment. what if there was a way where pilots could get a top down view of the battlefield and offer logistical support. eve pilots would be able to get a top down view of the dust battlefields and would be offered thermal and nightvision viewing to give pilots a more active role in DUST14.
4. give troops not only the option to invade TCU stations but what if troops were allowed to participate in missions? for example: the pilot gets a mission to go to point A and clear npc pilots and retrieve data files....normaly in eve when you get a mission like that you blow up a ship and somehow this magical data file ejects into a can O_o!!!. how the heck does that work! well what if you had to use your corporations troops, probably a small 2-6 man team going into the station depending on mission level and its their job to retrieve the datafile or slave or diplomats.
5. helmet cam! would we who play eve be able to have a small window pop up if we wanted that would allow us to view the helmet cam of one of our corporations troops?
these are just some ideas to give us eve players a bit more involvment in the dust514 game since its part of the EVE universe and works in conjunction with the EVE online servers. i dont know allot about dust because i dont have it but im just going off what i have been told. seriously though....giving us only the ability shoot the planet from space is kinda lame :\ ...cool in some respects but if thats all we in eve get then whats the point? o.o |

helmet cam from land commanders is required you better start modeling some sort of ship hull with system displays and a map so the ps3 players dont get bored in a 20 jump route. |

could make traveling to a zone via EVE Pilot a optional thing perhaps. like they only get the ship ride if they are involved with eve pvp like taking over a TCU or some mission specific thing like retreve said datafile lol missions like that would be started from the eve side. dust players could still queue up for battles but they could also chose to participate in corporate pilot mission or something O_o. know what i mean? |

I would very much love this idea.
I would love an option to ride in an eve transport ship (perhaps a new ship type called troop transport?). Perhaps to take a station instead of destroying it by use of Dust players? Shot into the station with individualized 'boarding pods'? that could be shot down on their way into the station?
Oh the brainstorming. |

I would like to see a Computer or Xbox version of this, its understandable to start with the ps3 but future expansions to the 360 or newer version of the xbox or really the computer gaming community would probably be a major success. and profitable on steam or xbox live.
I am excited to see how this plays out an how it changes things for warfare. also I have high hopes for the gameplay of dust. |

How about the ability to customize dropsuits camo? No matter how advanced your equipment is, you still need basic camo on the battlefield. Definitely like the idea of having Dust players retreiving files, items, or HVTs from a station/planet. |

I would like to see a body count per planet in EVE (and some other stats)
10.000 people died here fighting since the current corporation was the Major district holder 200M isk was destroyed last month on this planet kinda things.
For the rest, I don't really want to see much interaction on a daily basis with Dust players, transporting people is weird and even more boring than solo mining (although self-destructing with random alts would be fun, killing all there stuff. Or just logging off, before entering their destination system after a 30 minute flight) with their Corporations however, the possibilities are limitless
Having a birds eye view of the battlefield on a planet would be nice too, as would be the need to export PI materials which are controlled by dust corps who control the districts to build EVE stuff. I also think it would be nice if dust players could purchase plexes and sell them for ISK, without the need to download the EVE client. Baddest poster ever |

I would like to see:
A. True piracy in EVE now--You can board a ship and take its cargo (small sec hit if in low); board a ship, pod-kill the pilot in ship, and steal the ship and everything on board (bigger sec status hit if in low); NUKE THE SHIP FROM INSIDE (sec hit equivalent to stealing the ship). Think about it? Tackle a Titan in null? Already have enough supercap kill mails? WHY NOT STEAL IT AND SELL IT? Also, someone won't a pay a ransom, but you can see the shiny on board and you don't want to risk blowing it all up? Send in a Dust team to capture and secure objectives! It follows from this, that you could end up with soldiers having bad sec status that concord/faction Popo continually hunt on foot, which would be interesting--transporting characters with bad sec status from one side of high security space to another could be a very specialized, lucrative career?
B. PC Dust514, and also, the option for ALL capsuleer pilots to start mercenary training. If boarded by a mercenary team, the captain can add bonuses NPC squads he selects/buys beforehand (if he doesn't have his own mercs on board). Basically, dumb drones that he leads into battle. However, captain dies he wakes up wherever his clone contract is... don't know about clones on board your own ship, though, as that seems contradictory to how things are now. I mean, we already pay a monthly subscription fee, why can't we enjoy Dust, which is free to play, and keep our capsuleer skillsets.
Yes, I realize there are all kinds of lore/technical implications and this isn't anything for the here and now, its just something I wish we could see.
C. This goes with B., but a complete integration of Dust into the current EVE client and Universe. I would love to eventually walk in station along side dust soldiers, have to watch out for kill rights from space being transferred to Dust soldiers in stations, no longer be safe docked up in null/low/wh space during a siege, and be able to defend my ship to the bitter end hand to hand if necessary. RP'ers would love it, and I think so would more EVE captains. It would dramatically change things, but it could be AMAZING.
D. It follows from point C., but it would be logical if they eventually integrated Dust and EVE so completely that there were massive, persistent maps on worlds that both capsuleers and dust soldiers could explore on foot, on air, or from orbit. Basically, merge the two MMO's into one massive persistent map and no longer have a distinction between capsuleer/soldier. Just let everyone train everything and experience all levels of this universe without the coarse distinctions. Basically, you could be in command of your Abaddon one moment, and then descending to a planet surface accompanied by a full contingent of officer's and soldiers whose skill sets focus more on the terrestrial side of things.
The ideas would expand EVE and Dust naturally into each other over time until its one large expansive world with unlimited freedom. Yes, I know its nowhere near like this now or anytime in the future, so please do not flame me. I'm just imagining. Much like EVE now, you would still have people specialize in things, probably with sets of dedicated soldiers and dedicated pilots, as the skill trees on both are massive. However, being able to jump between to lifestyles and game player types should still be a possibility--I would learn basic defense if only to help out in the defense of my ship if sieged, especially if it was expensive.
Anyway, at this point, I'm going to start getting tl;dr's, so, I'm done. |

Incursions. You drop your troops onto the planet, we would have some awesome coruscant-like environments infested with true slave soldiers (something like this http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=20-12-10 ) and big spiky dropships. Being a bit of a sanshafile, i would relish that. Warning: Hyper-Elitist Egomaniacal Space God. |

I've heard that the newer Xbox will be download only sort of thing which would suit Dust 514 quite well, the same thing goes for PS4.
I would like to see the use of MTAC's or APU's in Dust 514, how ever you'd have to be very rich and highly skilled to use one though or everyone would have one..
How about MTAC battles, just like the Armored download for Battlefield 3????

Perhaps the dust players could use the turrets on the ship? Although this may mean a whole new ship type.. It would also be a good restock spot for soldiers and would open up station warfare, so that you could take a station, not just blow it up.
My two cents anyway.

Ground-to-space weapons.
Once they take over a district, they can build weapons complexes and place them in a district. These weapons complexes can fire out into space and hit ships several AU from the planet. They can even buy ultra-heavy duty weapons batteries to lay siege to POS's anchored around orbiting moons.
Capsuleers can mercilessly pound these down with heavy weapons fire without the need for target painting. They are perfectly valid targets for capital sized bombardments.
It'll be interesting to see how Capsuleers will regard the boots on the ground once they have the ability to fire back, and even influence engagements not directly related to the planet. |

Don't know about specific features or so, but the first thing that springs to mind is an abstracted layer that "broadcast" the games in both directions. To be able to observe DUST games in Eve (either real-time or replays), and vice versa, would be great for immersion. DUST commanders could be able to see the status of the district satellites and the system that they are fighting in. These "broadcasts" wouldn't have to be very complex, for DUST just basically a rough 3D terrain with player positions, limited info and a score board. |

combat drones - take up an equipment slot and when deployed they hover near you and shoot what you shoot, or shield boost your squadmates, or point-defence zap enemy grenades, or give you temporary damage hardening, or maybe they fly over to nearby hostile vehicles, latch on and explode.
They only last for like, ninety seconds to two minutes or so before running out of power, but they survive even if you die. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

Racial variety for dropsuit classes.

I am acutally going to say it but... No. Today is a perfect example on why going to PC might actually be a terrible idea. Unless they strike and shut the PC side of the game down anytime any platform has a massive update. Luckily PCs are not there... yet, but who knows a decade from now. Also further stated unless steam, atari, or activision coughs up alot of money to offset the cancellation fees of exclustivity and all the lawyer suits to follow afterwards, I rather wait it out until sony becomes 'disinterested' and stops contracting the exclusive.
Anyways things I like to see.
1. Racial Symetry (comming soon TM)
2. Weapon Customization (also soon TM)
3. Paint bukkit (possible soon TM)
4. The map generator at work (feature slated in 2013 fan fest not a peep since)
5. Factional Warfare Improvements. (confirmed next build)
6. Privately Owned Bases on the planet surface attackable during war declaration in high, low secs. (my own idea)
7. Conquest mode. (2014 :( )
8. Sansha Incursions
9. Other NPC missions and live eventable battles.
10. Free roaming zones/districts aka sandbox zones. No match, no goals, no rewards other than what you want to do there. kill players, attack npc bases, field research, plot down extractors.

Since DUST 514 partly exists to bring the console gamers into the EVE Online universe, I think that I would only want to see a PC-based DUST 514 client if it had these restrictions:
1. Your DUST 514 character eats a character spot from your EVE Online subscription (or is an EVE capsuleer); and
2. Since PC KB/M play can often trump console play, compensate so that PC-based play is with "normal" clones and not merc clones (i.e., slower, punier, and more susceptible to trauma than merc clones). Though I would make it so that you don't risk implants (too many deaths). PC-based characters would still learn skills and could make a difference on the battlefield, but the console characters would still have an upper hand.
A compromise like that would still bring in the console market while letting PC-based players get a taste of the thing.
