Please bring back the colored FoF identifiers near brackets. After the 1105 patch, it has become impossible to tell a friendly drone from a pirate without following all of the above with a mouse, and when there are 20+ drones in the area, this is very frustrating and there is no compelling reason to remove this important feature.

I agree, wasn't sure if it was a bug or not. I prefered having the green bar to identify friends rather than have to over the cursor over everyone to find out who they are. |

What about, instead of a stripe, the color of the small icon was green instead of white? Since drones, shuttles and pirates are all the same icon, if friendies were green, pirates and very low sec players were red and threats actually showed the color of the threat tellig them apart would be very easy.
Icons already change color in the game, yellow jumpgate for your route.

I agree with NGRU, just colour the text, the simplest solution is often the most elegant.
It seems a little inconsistent that the technology can identify the pilot by name, but can't tell you if he is a pirate/ ally/ enemy.
I'm sure in 30k years databases would be able to cross- reference this a tad quicker than even the mighty EVE database :P

yeh we need ident for corp, personal and members, maybe a tech skill/ship equip to give colour ident to bad people. :)

went mineing with my corp...was totaly FUBAR
couldnt jettison ore for indi pick up, because the damn jet bug..
couldnt fight because my drones looked like hostile mobs, and with the other miners there were 25 drones airbone...how the hell are you sposed to find hostlie mobs when the drones look EXACTLY like hostiles?
whoever thought this up needs hit in the head with the nerf bat untill he begs for mercy

Yeah give us back the colours. Already green gang colour in the radar is nive, I'd like to have this for allies / corp / my drones, too.
But then, give me back the green bars, please!

Coming into even large fields with many miners you would still be able to spot your Corp m8's in an instant.

Changing the icons or coloring them by type would be e serious improvement . How many times didnt I freak out on an escortduty when I suddenly see *incomings* right next to my mates. :)

How about instead of a big green bar, u get the same little symbol u get when u see players now, but if they are friendly they are green, neutral white, enemy red. Friendly drones should have the green cross, neutrals white, enemy red. Simple enough

Best idea is to color the actual symbols (like the stargates are colored yellow when auto-piloting). If friendlies are green, and threats other colors according to lvl of threat, would clarify things easily.

Spot, I just suggested the same thing on the ideas lab :) It would deffinately be a better solution.
Some say that now the actual icons are gone in 1109. Have yet to confirm this though.

Big mistake on the part of CCP for changing this. The green bar is does not offer any advantage to exploit and it makes playing the game easier. They need to return to this.
On the same topic. I think that they need to analyze the changes that they make to the game a bit better. I play two other mmorpgs and they never make such drastic changes immediately and if its an established feature they usually change it very little.

Yeah although i applaud CCPs patch attempts, i wish theyd just fix the mechanics issues of the game rather than changing estabilshed cosmetic issues which as far as i know most people are fine with.
Put in more NPC plots/content like abandoned colonies anomolies in space OTHER than amarr for instance, balnce the ship and weapons once and for all etc....

I don't really care about the green bar that much.. only a goober would accidently target AND fire on his helpless drone..
BUT.. I do care about the red bar that was present on player pirates below -5 as well as corps your at war with..
The red bar is far more importiant than the green one.. Hope they put this back.
