Apologies if this has been discussed before...
I have now got 64,000 research points with my research agent. I know that bpo allocation is a lottery, and I know that starship engineering is a popular research subject that means the odds are longer than most, but is anyone else sitting on a pile of points that has taken months to accumulate and still wondering where that rare and desirable bpo is?

Like you said its a lottery...so someone with 64 RP vs. your 64,000 can get the BPO.
I would be nice to see which fields are still being researched so at least we'll have a chance to change agents...
Too bad the Research system was based off the offer system, but doing research missions...

I have six research agents and have not had any issues getting T2 BPOs. They are not always worth having but I have turned none down. The most RP I had before getting a BPO was in Cal Startship and I broke 80k (14 months or so) before getting offered a BPO.
Pretty much you get out of it what you put in, and the month I spent training RPM up to lvl 5 was worth it.

LOL...50k rp and nothing.
Is there a way in-game to know if a field still have BPOs that can be won from the lottery?

I have 5 agents in Caldari Starship and between them i have close to 500,000 rp now. I did get a Harpy bpo a few months back, the agent had about 60k rp when he hit. I'm hoping for a Stealth Bomber bpo next.
Would be interesting to see a list of the top researchers in each field, i think i should at least rank in the top 50%

Click on your agent's info, then scroll down to the fields. If it says not predictable, they're all given out for the moment.

Can you increase amount of RP per day you get from an agent? |

Many times I read on these forums of someone knowing somebody who still got a BPO offer on those not predictable fields

Edited by: Helmut 314 on 28/03/2005 21:03:17 * Train negotiations skill to 5 * Train the relevant skill, ie amarrian starship to at least 4 * Use an agent of as high level and quality as you can manage
Those are the ways I know of to increase the RP flow. Oh, you can do the missions too of course, that gives you twice the rp per day.

Edited by: Vigilant on 28/03/2005 21:58:01 too many...too long.... System for T2 BPO's is ok...IMHO.. RP offers should be given for Tech 2 BPC's in the field your researching.... Since, atm, he is nothing but calculator right now....adding so many Lottery Tickets a day...
Hurry up and wait....Hmm reminds me of the days in the Navy...

Any of you who got T2 BPOs are ridiculously lucky. 205K RP here among 5 agents and nothing yet (and I don't ever expect anything either.) No one I have ever talked to in game has gotten a T2 BPO...

A friend of mine (lucky @#!$!@& ) just got a modulated deep core mining laser II BPO from a level 1, -18 quality agent with only 3000 research points in laser physics.
I have nearly 30,000 research points in laser physics and have nothing to show for it.
It's all just random luck.
I've gotten several T2 BPOs, but that was back when it was bugged and gave more BPOs to people with low research points. Based on my friends luck and the fact that I haven't had an offer since my research points have gotten high, it may still be bugged. I think I'm going to give his level 1 agent a try for a while.

I had Heavy Pulse II few months ago, so it works. But u guys rushed on starship, i see so many ppl with 5 agents on that field.
More ppl in same field = less chance to get something.
