Hello fellow eveiators...
I have been online now for i think ten days and i am loving the game.. Just starting to understand how everything interconnects with eachother.. however i do have a question..
I have decided not to dig ore 24/7, instead i bought meself a fancy battleship with some shooters on top.. But now comes the problem, the only thing i am doing is completing NPC missions, flying half way the galaxy for say 20000isk's... There must be a way to earn more money faster.
so the question is: How can a beginner that does not want to dig ore, earn good money.?? Hopefully you can all give me some pointers...
Many thanks in advance..
Happy easter..

Stick at the missions dude, im guessing your only on lvl 1 for now. A few skills you should be learning are Charisma, (a learning skill) and then subsequently social to lvl 3 then connetcions to lvl 3.
This will help you gain more standing with the corp you are running missions for and then enable yu to progress to lvl 2 and 3 missions which carry much greater rewards. It does take a while though :). (NEVER decline a missions either no matter how tediuos it will hit your standing also)

What ship are you using? I noticed you said battleship in your post but you're too new to be flying a bs.

Hi Dutch,
The other option you can do is to trade. Get your skills up to get an Industrial ship (loads of cargo space), then look for good deals in Trade Goods in your market view. Arrange the sellers windows by price, lowest at the top, and arrange the buyers window by price, highest at the top. Then scan through, and see what you can buy low, sell high.
Good luck! --------------------------- |

Edited by: Soulita on 26/03/2005 16:17:32 i doubt you fly a Battleship after 10 days, but ways to make money are:
- NPC hunting (Complexes, 0.0 space) - Missions (There are courier and kill missions, depending on corp) - Mining - Manufacturing - Trading - PC Bounty hunting - Pirating - Exploration
(probably i forgot some)
All of these can make ya rich..

well battleship, didn't know people were so serious about the types I do have a catalist, and i think its listed as a destroyer, but correct me if i am wrong..
Also i want to say that i have no problem with flying tedious mission, hey you have to start at the bottom of the ladder.. but i want to be sure i am not missing anything in the eve universe..

Im asuming he means a battle ship... ie a ship ready for battle rather than a Battleship class beast we all know, unless he could be heading for an expensive lesson in getting scrambled....

Your probably missing a lot but you cant do it all at once. Good thing about EVE is you have plenty of time to do whatever you want eventually...... When you can get online that is..... (Hence all the bored people replying to your posts) :)
Missioning is a good way to learn npc'ing and setting up of ships and getting used to various shi[p types and moduals so you'll get a good rounded Eve eductaion hopefully.

Damn, how much for those +7 implants?
Sorry, couldn't resist Anyway, you are probably flying a frigate class ship, browsing market and wondering how the hell do you get all that niffty stuff with your current "salary". Eve is most easy on money of any RPG I've played so far ... and there were few. Catch is, you don't really need millions right now since most of the stuff that shines on shelves you can't use due to lack of skills. My suggestion would be don't worry too much, ISK will flow in just fine. You'll get bored with 23/7 missioning too
I believe missions are second best money maker just don't get your "half way across galaxy". You set up your base at/near your current agent's station and generally fly up to 3 jumps on average kill mission.
You could also try NPC hunting in asteroid belts, that's even less flying around.
Then there's always joining rich corporation that hands out start-up ISKs ----- 42 |
