Okay, I'm trying to refit one of my ships with my maintenance array (POS structure) but no matter what I do, I can't get the modules onto my ship. I can take them off fine, just not on. The modules are in my cargo.
I've tried dragging them onto my ship, where the module SHOULD be next to my shields, armor, etc. I've also dragged the damned modules into every icon on the screen! How do I get the darned things on my ship?

Set your gui to show empty module slots and drag the items in question over them. Also make sure you arent trying to put high slot items in low slots etc.

The slots were already showing, but I couldn't see the "empty slots," so to speak. I already tried the whole dragging thing--- as a matter of fact, I've dragged my components over every square inch of the screen. What is the "gui" though?

Fit to active ship in the dragdown menu is the only thing that works for me.

OK first of all GUI means graphical user interface. It just means the graphics you see on your screen that allow you to interact with the game.
Now...
At the bottom of your screen to the lower right of the circular display (that shows cap, shields armour and all that stuff) there is a small white arrow. Right click on it and select "Show Empty Slots".
Now your screen will show the slots of your ship that do not have mods fitted to them as well as the mods that are. When you are at the array simply drag the items you want to fit over these empty spots (they will look liked faded circles) and voila, it will work.
If you find thats not working then there's somthing wrong with your client or you havn't done somthing right.
