Round Details (as of April 3 - 11:00):
Tickets sold: 163,695,001 Participants: 31
Payout: 155,510,251 ISK Drawing: April 3
Haideliho gamblerinos!
The last round of the Grand Banks' Lottery saw some pretty high stakes. I'm astounded I've been able to reach this kind of success this early. All because of Yeux Gris, of course, whose completely unselfish donation of a whooping 250M raised the pot to a total 752,2M! Not entirely unexpected (being one of the five major participants) Kcid of S******dly walked away with it all.
Round 4 will now begin. Even though I expect it to be far less dramatic than Round 3, I hope we will get to see some action.
Before you participate; be sure to review the Standing Game Rules:
To enter, wire X ISK to Mr Lloyd. 1 ISK = 1 ticket. No maximum as to how many tickets you can buy. One winner takes it all! 95% of Lottery purchases are paid out in prize money. 5% is kept by the Grand Banks. Donations are always paid out in full on top of normal prize. All entries are public and subject to presentation on demand. Drawings every Sunday, time may vary. Drawings using this random number generator. Entries are accepted until the start of said Sunday's DT. This is Meehan's alt (check his bio for confirmation). Lottery is completely neutral! Refunds only if you accidentally send too much ISK. Claims have to be made in direct relation to the ISK transfer.
I think that will be all, folks! Let the games begin!
Doners: Yeux Gris - 50M (Round 2), 250M (Round 3)

Actually i think there should be a limit to the tickets you can buy.
Why?Its simple. Most people really arent amused when they see rich alliance 0.0 miners just buying tons,i mean TONS of tickets.
The average person is probably going to buy maybe...around a million dollar worth of tickets. If hes mining in really low sec space or doing level 4 missions he can probably afford 10 million on a lottery.
But even 10 million is what.....0.01% chance to win when you have like 5 people each buying 200 million+ tickets EACH?
In the end you get a lottery that has a very big pot,but only about half a dozen people have a chance to win.Technically,it is possible to win if i just buy 1 million out of 1 billion tickets, but lets be realistic.
I think 5-10 million tickets should be the absolute maximum actually.

I think the previous poster has a good point. If it's a lottery, you should win because of luck, not because you bought all the tickets. Or most of them anyway.

I considered putting a maximum as to how many tickets could be bought to begin with (especially the last round), but I'm afraid such a lottery would make this too much of a faint BIG-Lottery imitation.
As it is now there's room for some real gambling - should I purchase those 100M tickets just before Sunday DT? What if someone else has the same plan but buys 200M tickets?
It adds some spice in my opinion. If I want a 'safe' based purely on chance I will go with BIG, if I want a newbie-lottery I go with Gakbug's. If I want a lottery with high stakes, I go with Grand Banks
At the end of the day, let's not forget that there's a real player dictating how this lottery evolves (namely me) - should I see a trend with what could be considered 'lottery griefing' I will step in and alter the rules accordingly to disallow it.
Thank you

I rather like the thought that one day, one of my 100k tickets might get picked amongst the 100 millions of others.

The open-insight policy this lottery maintains doesn't allow for anonymosity, I'm afraid
