You know this opens up interesting opportunites for CCP, how about putting real life adverts on them (like in Bladerunner style).
You can also use clickable text

I see a good (or bad) tactical use for these too...
In combat park yourself behind a billboard - working on the current gameworld model your guns will fire straight through them, but the'll act as a handy barrier for missiles launched at you and prompt a helpful Concord response....
I wonder if CCP has thought about this one....

Another one is allowing people to run custom advertisements on it for a sum of isk of course..Just another thought. "JOIN MY CORP FOR A FREE BATTLESHIP and 50 million ISK!" Something like that =)

At the sector I was you had also 4 or 5 cops at the gate so no real use for defence unless you attack the cops.

i think they look great. perhaps people could rent advertising space on them and stuff? or maybe even build their own? (limited numbers of them of course)

Can't you do this already with a stargate, station or other player's ship ?

Bah no one can see the text from that far. Maybe if you hover your point over it, the text pops up? And why is the wanted text all over the screen blocking the face and all. Just put it at the bottom of the screen, once.

I like the look of these. If you could build them yourself and put your own messages on it'd be cool, if a little open to abuse.
It's nice to see CCP adding a little more atmosphere to the game anyway.

And sisqo I made those shots just about everytime lordzap was on it the text scrols on it and the pics play around like a movie.
Put some extra pics at the top from the board for rent.

The large ones look best. they remind me of some sci fi films and programs, like futurama for example :)
the little one hanging off the back of the gate is too small tho if you ask me. the big ones look great tho

Hi
I'm doing the billboard code. At first they'll advertise current news and most wanted fugitives, but later the plan is to allow you to rent slots for your own advertisments and corprate propaganda. They are fitted with turrets and some even shoot missiles if someone tries to vandalize them, in open defiance of Concord authority.
One question:
KillerQuokka: What gfx hardware are you using? ( The text on the bounty picture is not supposed to tile like that. )
