Edited by: Ibobah''k Chisaraj on 27/03/2005 16:22:13 Is there any background story line where the history of the isk is accounted for?
Is it a purely virtual electronic currency or does it occur in the eve unverse as printed currency as well, bills and coins?
I'm aware you dont handle bills or coins in the game, but imo that doesnt exclude them in any way being there somewhere.
well...
EDIT/ It couldnt be ISlandic Kronor, could it? :/

Think of the ISK as the regulated digital currency that stands as the default legal tender when doing international trade. Individual empires or even planets might have their own currencies, though, that could well have material representation, such as coins or bills. But the ISK is most likely only available in a digitized form.

InterStellar Kredit.
You used to be able to make an in-game item (an icon in your hold, basically) by dragging the Z from the wallet into your hangar. You'd then need to specify how much ISK. A withdrawal. That feature was removed, though.

Hopefully the manager will be understanding and let you off with washing the night shifts dishes, taking out the trash, doing a bit of sweeping and mopping...(depending where you are when the juice runs out)

ISK, what does it stand for? I always think of it as the 'Icelandic Kronor'.
Any ideas out there? A nous la Federation Gallente. |

ISK is a pun, so to speak. I don't think they've really said what it stands for in-game, but "Interstellar Kredit" has been joked with. However, 'ISK' is the international abbv. for the Icelandic Krona, or "-slensk Krūna".
