I did a quick search and found no mention of the above subject, if a thread already exist, it evaded me... Anywho, it needs to be stated that CCP simply dropped the ball on the new Min dessy model. Its simply THAT bad. Please CCP, have another go at it, do it for the children. |

I have to admit the other new dessies look gorgeous, but the Minny dessie looks like two blocks stuck together (the mian body/hull).
That said I am looking forward to producing these new ships as Dessies are my business! I can see these being cheaper than the others just because it's the ugly duckling of the group, but time will tell. Either way always awesome to get new stuff - thanks CCP - love you long time

I think it look fine, simple, fast and like a spear tip. As far as being the cheapest LOL. Now that they decided that it should be strictly better at everything the caldari one dose it will be fine, hell Ill have to fly it.....and i hate minnie ships but it is just the better missile boat in all ways so ya.

Were is the FW exclusive frigate sized ship? I see the cruiser and battle ship.......... |

The art design is terrible, as is the model itself.
A shame really, especially considering how awesome the new Stabber/Vaga and Tempest models are. |

Apparently the art department wasnt looking for comments regarding the minmatar dessy when there was a chance to actually change it
I made enough threads about it at the time and pretty much took the opinion of CCP to be, 'tough luck, this is what you get'
I'm resigned to the fact that they will press ahead and release it rather than 'wasting' the time already spent on the poor design by starting again.

What I've seen of the new Min destroyer suggests to me that it's built from similar design considerations as the Typhoon, a single, solid mass of hull with sensor arrays at the bow and engines at the stern. It lacks the outrigger of the 'phoon but beyond that...
It can't be called sleek of course but at least you're not going to be worrying about the top wingy bit falling off. |

I don't mind the Amarrian vessel actually, but have to say the Caldari and Gal vessels are my favorite and will be making one my everyday run around. Not sure which if the two though.

Can't argue with sound logic, you may be correct, but...
The Gal and Cal dessies really feel as though they took design cues from their respective Tier 3 BCs. |

Yeah, um... thanks? I was really concerned about that. I confess your search skills exceed my own, perhaps you could make a youtube video showing us how to better search the forums. Glad you manged to troll all my posts today and completely miss the point of this thread.
BTW, I used your very helpful link and read your opinions on the dessies. You praise the Min model and questioned the Gal... really? |

ok i think the new min Destoryer is ugly as sin but i have tested fitting one on dual. with 7 rocket launchers and that ships is one mean rocket boat in terms of fire power and speed.
its ugly but it the movie title "the good the bad and the ugly" Good in your face fire power Bad as in bad tank unless you ASB it and the hull is damn Ugly.
Now as for the Rockets should get 20k on long range t2 rockets 13k range of the rage t2 rockets and well over 200 dps.

i wasnt sure yet cause it wasnt textured yet in the video on there, since it has now been fully renderd and textured i can now comment and yes it does look awesome, and im still cool with the minnie one, |

I don't mind it too much, ok it's not great but its one of those ships that looks a ton better once the launchers are equiped. Breaks up the block and makes it look ******* mean.

Is the appearance of ship a minor issue? Yes. Will I avoid using the ship? Absolutely not, I will use it until its cliche. But right now, before release, is the time for us as a community of players and customers to let are opinions be known to the powers that be. |

Adding those two little things sticking out on the side actually made quite an improvement in the look over the first time I saw it when the solar cells on the front were the only protruding detail. Now that someone mentioned it, I expect equipping the rocket launchers will help with the look as well.
I can live with the design now, although the other ones still look way better. |
