Mostly hi sec, my account expires 26 June 2014. Started playing in 2011. 
Red Maiden: People actually play with WiS off? Why? It's really well done, and adds an excellent layer of immersion in the game. Plus, my character's ass is out of this world and I like looking at it. |

HiSec Carebear - that said, as an Indy, I don't consider myself risk averse, however, I choose to engage in an alternative risk paradigm then those who lean towards PvP interaction.
I risk my time, and my investment in resources and BPs, against the movement of the market. When I have planned and executed well, my reward in ISK will be higher than my investment. Because science and industrial lines are long, I will likely save ISK toward the completion of a POS at some point, and I will again engaging in a very risky activity betting that the investment will be actually profitable beyond any reasonable assessment of opportunity cost.
I accept that even in Concord protected space, I may become the victim of violent acts, but I expect that such acts will be inherently risky to the perpetrators. on those occasions when I venture out of HiSec, I understand and accept that I have added yet another factor to my risk equation.
I take exception to the labeling of HiSec proponents as "whiners" or as folks advocating a game-breaking environment. A "whiner" seems to be defined as anyone who has the audacity to post an opposing view.
A safe area is essential for the creation and sustenance of a player driven market. If most in game items are to be player-made, transported and sold, then conditions must be safe (at least relatively) for the profitable pursuit of those activities. Additionally, with each passing year of the game, a percentage of the games PvPers have the opportunity to become more skilled, more experienced, and more knowledgable about PvP combat - there must be an area in which new players can be brought in to learn and grow insulated from such dissimilarity situated folk, or as the gap between the experienced players and new players widens, the environment will become less appealing to new players. |

Carebear since 2005. I did move to Aridia after a couple of months carebearing in hi sec. After a few more months I did my carebearing in Delve before moving exclusively to high sec in early 2007. Now I stay in high sec with the occasional trip into WH space. |

I'm a high-sec dweller, part-time low-sec (mining, manufacturing, PvE, PI, very rare PvP), not a carebear (entitled, whiny, always good for tears).
