Well. been reading through alot of the message in here>. There are alot of people with exactly the same problems. 1 is the checksum and the other, which is mine, is the problem with ATI 9700 pro and 9800 pro cards. This was working until the release of this nightmare of a patch 1105. Anyway CCP take note. if you do not start helping your users out soon, you will have none left, Then what ya gonna do?? Read these messages and fix the problems the peeps are having. This is no joke, we pay good money per month to play this game. How do you think we feel when we cant?? Happy? Erm... NO!!! Sort it out NOW!!!

You can blame ATI for having poor driver support too. |

Its not Ati's fault that CCp have brought a patch that does not work with Ati cards, It all worked fine until release of the 1105 patch.

I'm pretty sure they do care. It would be pretty stupid to produce a cool game and then stop caring about it:)
maybe they just don't care today:) Did anyone check if it's a holiday in Iceland?
Maybe these guys got a brand new monster sized hookah.

There were a lot of people having problems with radeon 9000+ cards in the last version of eve too. Somehow, nvidia hards don't seem to have a problem. I blame ATI. They've always had poor drivers. |

actually, it has nothing to do with the ati drivers. I have a geforce ti4200 and have the same problem as the rest of you. so dont go buy another vid card, because it wont work. Do i think that CCP cares? FVCK NO! Thats abvious isnt it? I cant believe a company like CCP is even still in business. Anyway, i posted a possible workaround for the patch that seemed to work for me. Check it out here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=16394

If the patch has prevented us from playing the game, are we not entitled to an extension to our paid time? I have afterall payed for 30days of game time, and have lost 36hours of it so far... Which also reminds me about all the lost skill training time?

I don't use ATI but Gforce, and I still have the check sum invalid! It is not solve yet and CCP still don't put the whole game in the patch page like they did last time. It will work cause the check sum only come out when you update the old one and some reason it is always wrong so if we have the whole game then this problem will solve. Yes it takes time to download but it is already 2 days now, I am sure even with modem I have it ready NOW!!!

my problem isn't with a checksum error, but that the game simply won't work. I have the (ATi 9800PRO) text/lack of buttons problem and a crash to desktop when almost at the character selection stage...
I have done everything from changing drivers and bios changes, to altering registry enteries. There is no clear way to fix the problem.

The problem with the corrupt EULA/buttons appeared first in patch 1079 to 1080 when I was trying out the Chaos server.
My reckoning is that CCP do care (we are customers, right?) however, they do need our help due to too many PC configurations out there and the 16 test players cannot spot all bugs.
Even logging in to Chaos would have spotted the corrupt problems then (a couple of weeks ago, if I'm not mistaken), and if many people did post this bug they would have taken it more seriously.
As for the Checksum error, thankfully it never happened to me |

When facing bugs, please post proper bug reports (including log files/screenshots etc). To access the bug report form, check the menu to the left.
Trust me, CCP cares. They're working hard long days to make the game better, day by day.

I did bug report it (log file, screenshot, dxdiag), and even gave out my email address to contact me if the bug report was not as it should have been.
I even submitted the win98/ME compatibility mode fix under WinXP when I found it, but hey, at least we can play under compatibility mode until the next patch release. |

I'm running a 9700 pro and haven't had any problems. It has to be something to do with the patch.
