I'm about a month off from a t2 fit BC. I need to make some isk. If the t1 fit BC will do then I can be rating BS's tomorrow. Otherwise I'll just buy a PLEX and keep pounding out core skills for frig-centric pvp.
Thank you |

You'll have to be more specific than that. -What race? -What weapons?
A tier 3 BC could do it. Like an Oracle for Sansha. But anything less than meta 4 mods wouldn't work so well. T2 fit may not be necessary, but it'll make things easier. |

Belt ratting or anoms? It's certainly plenty for belt rats. Don't know muck about anoms but i'd assume you could do at least some of them. |

You shouldn't have any troubles, might even be doable in a ganky Rax. Take caution with the drone boats, they work well enough but drones are a pain deploying/recovering when the other kids want to take your stuff. |

Stealth bombers would be a good start, but if you also want to be able to handle the frig escorts, the Brutix may even be enough too. |

a shield fit gank talos or myrm can handle belt rats fairly well, anoms and sigs will be pushing it tho with a t1 fit. |

T1 or meta brutix is what I had in mind. Thanks fellas. Although, I certainly don't mind a light crosstrain. What other racial BC's might be good against belt serprentis BS's? |

Any ship that has high native resist to the rat type your farming will suit you well. This allows a reasonable tank and the ability to put more into gank. Unless your little chunk of space is quiet, I would also stress the ability to bug out quickly, nothing ruins the ratting experience as much as being podded. |

That guy pumps out just under 1,000 DPS and can passively tank the belt rats all day long. Perhaps, on a bad day, you will have to warp out for maybe a minute, sometimes. Modal Mega Neutrons Particle Accelerator I will do just fine, too. It's an ISK blueprint original. |

rat bs below 1 mil bounties you should be able to handle.
Not t2 fit (or assuming the skills to run them and therefore missing and damage, rof, etc boosts) 1.1's to 1.3 mil will be hard. triple 1.8 mil spawns....real iffy,
This based on my early day ratting in a low skill drake. Drake in blood rat land so no kinetic bonus so about as flat as damage can get imo.
the 1.8's will slow and painful most likely. have a good tank for em as you probably will not be making them wrecks in record time.
X-train for serps (or gurista) would be...drake/tengu for kinetic boost. I would not go out my way to x-train this though unless you know your home will be home for a good while. My combat char was caldari and tbh...90% of my ratting has been everywhere else but in serp space. Was in a corp that lived there a short time then we move forward to blood rats yet again. The TL;DR....0.0 can have you move about for better (take space) or worse (you are evac'ing), don't x-train for a rat till you got other stuff lined up which you seem to need more atm imo.. |

One thing to keep in mind- the bigger your ship, the more tank you need. Small ships sig/speed tank most of the damage, meaning that you can get away with lesser tanking modules.
I was ratting in null yesterday in an Incursus (Guristas rats), and only issue I ran into was breaking a Dread Guristas battleship tank- so I got a Catalyst to deal with that.

The Hurricane is working perfectly well in T1 fitting for 0.0 belt rating. I use it with autocannons+missiles+drones (now T2 but it was already more than enough with T1) and the BS just melt. For plexing that's another story... |

Personally i really like something like this but a Talos will probably be better, its a matter of personal preference. The 650mm arties are getting reduced PG needs in patch so you can remove the PDS for another damage upgrade then.

I second the bomber suggestion. Go with a nemesis. For mids... Afterburner, tp, medium shield extender, 4th is your choice. Lows are fitting mods and if possible a ballistic control. Rigs, thermal shield resist and, maybe kinetic against aero or else poly carb or loading bay accelerator.
Highs... 3 Torp launchers, cloak, and an autocannon. The ac will help against any frigate rat that tries to scram you. |

QFT. If you can, make it a Tech II autocannon so you can load Barrage for range. Also, if you're in a moderately spendy mood and don't mind the risk, the extra speed you can get from a Zor's Navigation Hyperlink implant will boost your transversals nicely.
(My PVE Nemesis fit went with an SSE and a small shield booster, along with the AB and TP. Went with nanos/overdrives in the lows for speed purposes. My target speed was 1,000 m/s.) |

Fly the Naga listed earlier for surpentis rats. It is the ratting ship of choice in fountain atm, making more Isk/h then a bling tengu. And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell. |

Pretty much standard PVP Incursus:
[Incursus, SAR+Neutrons]
Damage Control II Small Armor Repairer II 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Adaptive Nano Plating II
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I 1MN Afterburner II Stasis Webifier II
Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I Small Anti-Explosive Pump I Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I
Hobgoblin II x1
Can't remember the Cat fit, I reused the same modules just with a magstab and moar small Neutrons. Probably needs a fitting implant. Shiva Furnace - recruiting again! |
