I know we have all been here before and the only answer I ever seen was "no, it will cause too much of a bandwith drain".
Well.. Patch time is here so how about updating the visuals of a BPO/BPC.. Mayb just do something like the corners for t2 kit.. (a Yellow C in the bottom right for a copy) or a red O in the top left for an original.. I mean .. It's annoying (bout as bad as me)

those things are all good, plus it would be nice if used blue print copies when they have no runs left to be shaded black or red or something other than blue. Thats annoying when it ejects in to a hangar next to other copies :-P ================================================

Why would that be a "bandwidth drain?" It's just a client side icon change. Actually it's not even that.. the techII emblem is a .gif overlay or something similar.

In reality only the original should be blue.
Copies are usually made on white paper so that there wont be any missunderstandings when and if alterations are made.
I would thus really like to see originals be blue, copies white and 0 run copies black.
I doubt it would be a big thing codewize to alter the colour for copies...

I keep saying, time and time again, that just a simple "number" at the bottom of the BPO/BPC would answer the problem completely for all of the above situations...
for a BPO, a simple "infinity" symbol would thus substitute the number, and for all other BPC's, the number would look just like a stack of ammo or whatever, and that's how many runs you have left.
0 (zero) is of course a spent BPC, 1 is one, it could and would be just that simple to show the player what he has left at hand.
and there's no possible way anyone could say it would be any great load on the cluster because think of all the stacks of ammo nearly everyone and their brother has lying around, all with their own seperate numerical values, and all accurate to how many units are left in the stack.
With the BPC's of course they wouldn't stack, but simply be a number representation of runs remaining.
frankly, I just can't fathom why this hasn't been done already, there's no question it would be a great leap in the right direction.

I am definatly a go for this one! I like the idea of the bpo's being blue, bpc white, and 0 run black. Something like the t2 kit would be nice also. I mean, arent blueprints one of the single most important items in the game ever?! They can be applied to almost every single other item in this entire game. Lets vamp up there appearence!

signned, yet again
we have asked in the past about using the copy yes/no flag and the funs remaining flags to set the color code, but aparreently its a more difficult fix that we think. but that dosent mean we should give up pestering them to work on it

I'm going to go a bit out on the limb here and say "it is impossible for this to cause a further bandwidth drain".... so that reason for refusal is crap.
Why? BPO and BPC already cause access to the DB, and bandwidth useage, because they ALREADY have present the variable of "Number of runs remaining" and also the flag for "copy: yes/no"
Um, hi, CCP - aka Clueless Content Producers - flagged value = yes/no = 1/0 = OMG EASY COLOR SELECT METHOD
... so yeah, signed
PS - just learn to inspect your escrows & BPO/BPCs in the meantime, and you'll never get burned with the 0 copy BPC scam & be tempted to come rant/whine here ;)

C in the corner for copy and Id personally like to see a BPC turn Red when its Runs are out ! Or better Still Just Vanish. When the Last run goes, the BPC auto-destructs just like in mission immpossible |
