Our corp is one of the few whos going into the pos market with a new Med tower when it comes out and are going to produce simple reactions to sell but i've been looking at the cpu requirments of all the mods and they don't add up:
eg. Med cald tower 50% cpu output = 3750tf
for a basic industry setup
2 moon miners = 2000tf 1 med reactor = 1500tf 1 silo = 750tf
total cpu needed = 4250
therefore i cant run the stuff i need, so am i going to have to mine to silos then shut the minors down and react what i have or (hopefully) my sums are wrong?
n.b. don't flame me please i'm a total noob to this stuff just trying to get my head round it all.

moon miner = 500cpu each, so 1 000 cpu for both, no ?
silo will be 500 cpu so 1000 + 500 + 1500 = 3 000 cpu

I just tested this on test server and the silos are still 750 cpu
As the minmatar med ct has only 3000cpu this causes a bit of a problem 2 x moon harvesting arrays = 1000cpu 1 x med reactor = 1500cpu 1 x silo = 750 cpu total = 3250cpu So med ct doesn't have enough to run basic modules, let alone any defences as well
Anyone know for definate the silos are going to be reduced to 250?

Silo's a full sized module.
Use coupling arrays.

Originally by: Dianabolic Silo's a full sized module.
Use coupling arrays.
Silo: Used to store or provide resources. Capacity: 20000 m^3
Coupling Array: Coupling arrays are typically used in situations where small buffers are required to regulate the flow of materials in industrial processes. Capacity: 1500 m^3
If you use a coupling array to store your product, you're gunna hafta stop by to unload it constantly.

Depends what you're using it for.
edit: sry, put a time figure on it, but if you're outputting a simple reaction yada yada yada.
No reason you can't use coupling arrays to go in to the reactor and silo's to come out, nor any reason you can't link 2 coupling arrays to double your capacity.
