Corporation forums were a trumpeted feature of the Eve forums at one point, and would allow us to provide an easily set up hub for communication with our corporate members. However, in trying to set up corporation forums in another corp, I have run into a minor problem, being that only that myself can see the forums, and nobody else can; not my directors, my members, or others. Attempted to look up a guide to managing the forums, but I cannot seem to find much of anything on the subject itself. Is there something that I missed? Is there an option that I have to enable, or do I have to promote roles to members of the corporation?

I have tried to set mine up many times, but after a pause nothing happens... the corp forum is not created. I should petition it but I haven't gotten that serious about it yet I suppose. 
To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors.
If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Ours works, we did have to wait a while for it to show up for some members (CCP's database propagating?) and others had to relog (cookie issue? maybe try clearing those?).
In any case, try the usual troubleshooting steps, the equivalent of "have you tried rebooting"
If it was like yesterday when you opened them, and you've had members try relogging, trying different browsers, making sure they are logged in, etc then let us know.
PS this is as good a spot as any to note this, though I have opened a petition about it. If you link your members to a corp forum and they are not logged in, they will get an incorrect 404 page not found document instead of the correct 403 insufficient permissions. I had a lot of corp members tell me I was giving them bad links. Really it was that they weren't logged in when clicking in game links. Idealy the 403 page for these would also include the login form and redirect back to the attempted link. |

I've had at least one member log into the Eve Gate and try to access the corp forums, followed by "404 page not found" error; what sort of roles or positions do they need in order to access the forums? |

Read my post directly above yours, 100% of the time for me this error has been caused by them not being logged in. The only instance where it -might- not be is if you link something from the director/CEO only forums to a general member. Everyone in your corp can read anything in the General Discussion/Corporate Announcements forums, as long as the post is in there, tell him to log in and try the link again.
Edit: and yes, I know you said "log into Eve Gate and try", I'm still willing to bet they aren't logged in, like they didn't click "remember me" and close the window before they tried or something. It's horrible error handling on CCPs part, but this has been the issue every single time for me. |

Hmm, understood, I'll check that out real quick and see if someone can access it real quick and is willing to be a guinea pig. Thanks for your help, friend, and will update thread on result. |

We use them and they are pretty nice, but new corp members can't seem to access them right away, the forum database is probably not in immediate sync with TQ.
Anyway, handy and welcome feature.
