Maybe more teams would be inclined to participate in tourneys if there was a viable way to practice for them.

I know you've already replied but I have to throw in a post here that the consistent 0100 downtime of Buckingham is decidedly unfair to the US based teams entering the tournament.
Can you say exactly what isn't "solid" about buckingham at 0100 that doesn't apply to the rest of the timezones, and why those downtimes have been extraordinarily long when compared to others?
I am NOT, to clarify, claiming that there is any intent to specifically target any teams, or anything of that nature. I have a much stronger suspicion that it's simply immensely poor planning by CCP.
The problem with "the wait" is that I'm sure by now you guys now how tournament practicing works and the duration of said schedule, and you should know better than to keep taking the server down in the middle of a major player timezone, right when practicing should be most intense. Downtimes have been as long from 9PM-11PM (or longer in one case) in east coast time, which is almost literally the best time for practice for working players in the US.
edit: while i get there is that whole "unscheduled" line stuck in here, part of the reason this is particularly frustrating is because the test server thread STILL says:

so we're going from one LateUS downtime lasting 30 minutes to a mid US downtime going 2 hours.... |

Can we get an update on this? We can't pull off matches like Rote Kapelle VS Pandemic Legion if the US guys never get a chance to practice. |

Another day, another promise about letting us know something sometime in the future?
Still haven't heard anything regarding the situation with the number of teams, which supposedly was being discussed after the auctions nearly a week ago now. At this rate, I'm really just not sure you guys realize that there's just one more weekend left to prepare for this event, both for the teams (who actually signed up) and for CCP. |

We will be posting an update on both the test server situation and the team number issues as soon as we have made the test server changes and seeds we need too for teams to be able to practice. We encountered some issues on Friday that made our test server changes more difficult than expected and are going to be working through the weekend to rectify any issues that might come up.
This tournament has been on a very tight timeline from its inception, and while we have had some problems, we are streamlining the process with every misstep so as to not make the same mistakes again. As always, I'm here to help you guys out in the best way I possibly can. If you have issues, please make them known to me in a petition or on the forums and I will do everything in my power to help you out as fast as I possibly can.
