The goggles look so lame. Don't have the texture quality that the shades, clothes and faces do. Looks almost like someone used MS Paint to just blob them on.
Any one impressed by the new vanity stuff?

only thing I have seen and liked was the trench coat thing, but even then its a bit meh.
also being 9k the chance of me ever bothering to buy one is very small if that.

Well,
if you count the probably-to-be-NEX-shop-headgear that you can try in the sisi character creator.
I really like the borg/MGS eye piece they have there, but i never got to test it properly before it screwed up my client textures so...
Right now, not really. |

I'm waiting for cool Minmatar clothes, stuff that's actually held together with duct tape, or the classic Minmatar masks, though some of the fancy Amarr and Gallente clothes (the ones with the extravagant head pieces) would be cool too. |

It depends on the light. They have a very smooth surface so it doesn't look very detailed.
It was worth the 20 mil ISK, imho, not much more though. |

Yeah, most of the options are pretty bland. Mismatched sets, plain and boring styles, ugly clipping issues (try having a character sit while wearing one of those 'impress' skirts. Hmph. Unimpressed.)
But I've bought nearly a billion isk worth on the stuff anyway, because I've got nothing better to spend the money on. |

On Sisi you can find a cybernetic looking eye-patch thing, without the straps.
It's under Glasses, and not on the NeX Store.
It's not garish and painful like the monocle, it looks pretty good.
I can imagine it being pricey, though.  |

While I like the stuff in the NeX store, I hate the whole concept of microtransactions in a sandbox too much to get any of it.

... but more seriously, I have had my fill of all this from the time I spent in Second Life. You are just never going to get the sheer variety as you get there or the option to make your own. So no matter how you try to look unique, you end up looking more and more like hundreds of others.
Most stations will be empty and others like Jita and Amarr will be over crowded so that you lag like crazy.

I think in general even including avatars we need a lot more contect so we can look....unique.
Right now there's alot of people using the same coat, or same shirt which really isnt great at all.
More of everything 10 fold in my opinion.

I believe NEX store item design is "outsourced" and not handled by the same people who are in charge of ship design. |
