I do level 4 agents in Niyabainen. Apparently, I'm not the only one who does level 4 agents in Niy. Including the agent runners, passer bys, and those in the Xetic war the system is regularly over 150 people. This makes the system (and surrounding systems) lag to a point of pathetic rediculousness.
The reason for this is that the agent in Niy is the highest level 4 (quality 18) agent in the Caldari Navy. The lag in this system is out of hand. Solution: make more than 1 level 18 agent per npc corp, and put them in different nodes. Hopefully, this will cause people to split between them.
And, in response to the typical response of "your computer/internet/wtfeverelse sucks so upgrade/replace/etc"...I'm on a T1, my computer may suck, but apparently so must also everyone else in local who also complains about the lag.

Oursulaert also that same problem, except more extreme. 220 players in that system as I was flying through, trying to avoid it at all costs =)
My suggestion would be to take on an agent with a bit less quality. Unless the only other one is a -18, I'm sure you'll be fine. And hey, you'll also actually be able to collect your own loot w/o people stealing it! ------------------------------------------- =) |

Yes, I could go somewhere else...this is true. But I'm not just looking out for the solution for me...this is a problem...and I'm sure it'd be nice for every level 4 agent runner if they made some changes here.

I seriously can't see any way in which more agents per npc corp would hurt the game. It does not make them any easier to reach, only giving more (systems, nodes) to choose from. -- jamesw Rubra Libertas Militia

Personally I think CCP should just remove the entire WAR System and force the PVP back out into 0.0 space where it belongs. Then you would not have the massive fleets in every highway sector. That would solve everyones problems.

I think your right they need to move it back out in 0.4 - 0.0 space! The lag has gotten so bad it kills the Market all the time in Lonetrek. But when i had a post about this very same thing i got shot down and called a carebear! I think if a player can do a LVL 4 mission then they must have a ship that can stand up to whats in a 0.4 - 0.0 system!

FYI, a complete dead end system, 4 pilots in local, 0.7, I do a level 4 mission. Warp to bm, attack the targets, when the last one die, 35+ ships appear, begin to lock, np... then they start to fire missiles... Lag lag lag... My screen is freezed for like 5 seconds...
Then it goes back not so bad...
So imagine a system with 140 pilots doing a lot of missions? Moving to 0.0-0.4 won't fix the problem, you will just lag thoses system instead. Or you want a cheap lag kill on runners?
I would vote to remove missiles until this is fixed!  |

PVP followed Alliance folk out of 0.0 and into 1.0 when lvl4 agents came out. My corp, for instance, were quite happy killing alliance members in 0.0, but they all left to empire forcing us to war dec them. CCP will not remove empire wars, they are and always have been a part of the game. Thus, PVP will stay in 1.0 until alliance folk move somewhere else.
It's all about encouraging alliance people to use their own space to have fun + make money rather than empire.
Anyway, I think you will find the lag in those systems is caused by the fleets of Agent runners rather than the Fleets of PVPers. That said, spreading out agents and giving multiple "best quality" agents is the way to go. along with that people will need a way to transfer out their LP so they can leave the current agent hubs. -- jamesw Rubra Libertas Militia

If you remove the quality of all agents, the problem would be solved and it would also add more meaning to the 'loyalty' point system. As it is, lesser agents get dumped as soon as standing is high enough to move up the ladder, causing most to use the same agent.
