My good friend MPSTOP decided to play eve he started with the usual 2 week free trial and all went well. But when he used his credit/debit card to pay for his first full month and the payment WAS accepted he did not get his game time. He has been sending e-mails constantly to CCP but with no response. It may be only $19.95 he is out but he paid for a month, and got only a 2 week trial! CCP NEEDS TO KEEP UP THERE END OF THE BARGAIN! WE PAY TO PLAY! So furthermore the question is WHAT DOES MPSTOP DO TO GET HIS ACCOUNT BACK ONLINE WITHOUT DOUBLE PAYING FOR HIS FIRST FULL MONTH? CEO/FOUNDER of Maquis Syndicate Nightflare |

If you get an trail acount you play for 2 weeks free. Then after teh 2 weeks you pay for the game 17,- euro. and 15euro for the first month
making it 32,- euro
And yes your friend lost 2 weeks.. It prob will be there somewhere in the license agreement. Its not correct tough
What you would aspect is that You play 2 weeks for free.. ( As they let you think it is.. ) then when you finaly pay for the game ( wich you would think gets you an other month of playing time ) that becomes the 2 weeks free weeks you already played and then even anotherr 2 weeks with it ...
And then making you pay for another month
That my friend is tha art of moneh making..

First off, chill with the CAPS LOCK bud
Second, if you(err your friend) was charged $19.95 then he selected the wrong option obviously. Monthly charges are $14.95 if you choose to pay month by month.
The $19.95 is when you open an account online without buying the actual (physical) CD which creates an account and gives you a month's playing time.
Constant emails won't solve anything, give CCP time to look at the first one without having to drudge through the "constants" and sort it out.
Could be your friend doesn't want to own up that they made a mistake and did not get a free trial but went straight the the $19.95 deal

My guess :
1. He started using the trial 2. He then decided to get an account 3. Instead of buying the trial account he made a new account
Make a petition the costumer support should be able to sort it out.

I think you get have got some options that others of us dont get.. The CD has 1 free month & no signup fee. (that's why the cd cost ~20$)

Unless it is clear already, here goes another explanation that will help:
+ Trial = 14 days = $0 + Internet Purchase/trial upgrade = 30 days = $19.95 + Monthly Fee = 30 days = $14.95 + Total = 74 days = $34.90
+ Trial = 14 days = $0 + Game CD Purchase+Trial upgrade = 30 days = ~$20 + Monthly Fee = 30 days = $14.95 + Total = 74 days = ~$34.95
So, you have no reason to whine. Nothing is out of the ordinary here, and your friend is getting all the time he can possibly get.

There is where you go wrong ... If you tell something know your facts. This is how it realy is and no other
+ Trial = 14 days = $0 + Internet Purchase/trial upgrade = 0 days = $19.95 or ( the 14days free trail - 2 weeks ) + Monthly Fee = 30 days = $14.95 + Total = 44 days = $34.90
You dont get the month playing time as you would get when you would buy the cd . U just pay for it and then they add an extra 1 month FEE

Before I show you why you are wrong. I'll just say that the guy who has the problem should either a) go to his bank and ask for them to refund the money as the services were not provided (they will do it). Or he needs to double check to see that he didnt create a new account instead of updating his old account.
now to show you why you are wrong, and this is my last edit of this post and I will drop it after this, I just hate to see you telling someone that "your getting the shaft because it's normal" when it's not. Here is the PROOF that your statements are wrong.
https://secure.eve-online.com/ Go there, and try to understand what they mean when they say
For Ç19.95 you can create an account, including 30 days of game time. To play the game you need the EVE Online client
I dont find it that complicated .. your 19.95 first time setup fee WILL INCLUDE 30 days.. your FIRST 30 DAYS AFTER TRIAL.. They dont Backdate it at all, but they might apply it on the day of payment. I was on a 7 day trial and oddly enough my first bill was 7 days after my trial, my next bill was exactly 1 month after that.. So I got what I expected.
Added my recent charges so you could compare.. My char started SAK on 2004.08.14 23:58:00. (you can check for yourself if you dont trust me)
Recent Charges 2004-08-21 Sale 7783 ECMC 19.95 EUR 2004-09-19 Sale 7783 ECMC 65.70 EUR 2005-03-19 Sale 7783 ECMC 71.70 EUR

dood - yall are smoking pot or something. who cares about the cd or upgrading or backtime - THE GUY GOT NOTHING FOR HIS PAYMENT. keep on subject here. he needs to either a) get his money back, or b) get his 30 days like he paid for it.
most likely what is happened here is that he started a trial account, then paid for a new account and is trying to log into his trial account. simple mistake if you ask me. should be simple for ccp to fix. or he could just try logging into his mistakenly created new account and just deal with the mistake.

I picked up my copy of EVE in a bargain bin for $3.99, and got the free month trial. Wasn't a bad deal at all. :)
