Let me know if you encounter any issues or likewise. Thanks.

Watch enough videos and you learn that you have to be brutally honest...
actually I've gotten lots of private mails and convos thanking me for saying more than "good one" because most makers want feedback on what they can improve on.
Now I gotta watch this one...

I kind of meant it as a compliment, Riddari. I've still got a black eye, but it's healing... -

When are they not?
hmm, when you use non-battleships to kill them and have fairly expensive losses? :p

The intro and the outro were excellent. Very nice. Everything in between though was mainly "gun camera" footage though with very little variety.
Yeah, was my main gripe with the MC video too. Exodus made it less exiting to be a camera man :(

I also didn't like the main music. Sorry.
I managed to go from Nightwish -> NOFX etc. I'm sure you can do it too :p
Actually, ioctl was tasked with finding some war-songs with a fast beat, and this was what he came up with. That I liked the music helped too. Even Merdekka said yesterday that he had started liking punk (although he'll refuse vocally if asked about it). Anyway, can't please everybody.

just what is the purpose of blacking out your setups and such?
Old habits die hard, and we don't use what most would consider "conventional" setups. We like to think ours are better.

There was also one TS comment, "Stabs on a Crow?"
Yep. I've used one myself from time to time, especially when planning to tackle a Raven or a Scorp in an Inty. There is nothing dumber than getting your ship blown out from underneath you because you were too prideful to fit a 'stab and then you get owned by CMs because your target has a single 20km scrambler on you.
Maybe. I'd rather lose a crow that fit stabs, but that's just me and my pride :-D

No worries. I'm wearing my flame-proof armour now, waiting for him to jump in here.

Mitch, don't get me wrong, it was a really nice vid and you are right that Exodus is not very "camera-friendly". I did like that you included TS in this one (and it sounded very cool) as well. I just think that when it comes to making vids that a lot of what's come out lately tends to be nothing more than one pretty gank after another.
Leafo and I could literally put out a vid per week of stuff like that, but we try to hold off and evolve our projects with each release. People like LL, Loxy, yourself and a couple others seem to do the same and try to do something better each time. If I come off as overly critical it's because those of us who lead the way in this catagory need to be as honest as we can with each other so we can all move forward as a group.
The nice thing about this part of the forums is that there is no 'winning' in this section. It's all about helping each other get better. -

I agree. Luckily, we had some good fights with fairly equal forces on each side (as shown in the video), and it wasn't even a laggy fleet battle thing with lots of red and purple boxes. However, in our line of work, equal battles doesn't tend to happen very often (unless you create massive blobs, which ofcourse is impossible for us with our very limited member mass of a whopping 6 members).

Might be a nice one if there was actually a way to watch it where I am, an Internet cafe. Could you please tell me which codecs I need: The Admin might get annoyed about me to ask *again* for rights to install codes, I went through DivX and all sorts of packages.

Windows Media Video v9 is the codec used, so media player 9-10 will work.

Well, I had to use some special fx on it to make it audible (loud music makes it hard to hear voices). Couldn't do anything with that dialect, though

Loved the teamspeak bits... sounded very clear aswell. I guess you can use ³ber codecs with so few players on, or was it edited?
Keep making the vids

IMHO thats not always a bad thing, not every vid HAS to have a story. Personally i enjoy a good gank vid, at least the ones where you see people taking on atleast equal and preferably bad odds (and win!)... i could watch that kind of stuff all day.

Well, not all voices sounded that good to begin with, so fairly extensive post-processing was required, both to make them clear enough to cut through the music and mask codec issues.

I tend to agree, it's better to have some cool small-scale battles then trying to mask the lack of content by a 6 minute or something intro. I try to keep our intros below 1-1:30 minutes if possible. Although making a long intro can show off some nice cut-scenes, it gets too much of the intro and outtro is longer than the rest of the video.
Glad you liked it
