I've tried different areas of 0,0 and so far found none of them appealing or a good fit for my preferred playstyle.
First of all I should state that I rather prefer to shoot at most anything. I don't like to be restricted in that manner. I tried the alliance crap and found it lacking, to say the least. What I like is hunting and stalking in smaller numbers, 1v1's, 1v2's, 2v2's, and the like. Teh BlOb blows. I like creeping around complexes or asteriod belts where there are actually people capable of fighting back. Alot of dullards in .1 to .4 never even bother shooting back...how pathetic.
I've tried FIX area and Providence and found teh Blob to rule in both areas whether it be the pretentious FIXsters or the naseauting Amarr Roleplay chums.
What are some decent 0,0 regions where the phallus of the Blob isn't king.......Or is this ideal I have just a pipe dream? And NO you can't have my stuff!

The times we live in. Since lvl4 missions came in there has been less and less ppl in 0.4-0.0 simple bcos it aint as profitable as empire atm. Wait till the next patch and then try some other low sec systems. Try the Gallente area, this 0.0 space is relitivly close to empire so u might find some ppl to kill here, or you could try the 0.4s of essence, placid and sinq laison. :)
Good luck and happy hunting

Edited by: Face Lifter on 06/04/2005 00:01:02 I totally understand what you mean. Small scale engagements are much more fun than large scale ones.
Blobs suck, but they are a natural phenomena. EVE combat is balanced in a way that makes it very dependent on ship size. People can judge the odds just by comparing their ship type with someone elses. Player skills don't matter as much, hence the problem. When a player sees that odds are against him, he's not gonna fight, he'll either run to safety or call for reinforcement. Once reinforcements arrive, odds tip the scale in another direction, same story happens on the other side - either run or more reinforcements.
Such dynamics often result in growth of opposing blobs in relative safety from each other. Most such blobs dissipate without a single shot fired, often they don't even move. Needless to say, participating in this type of behavior isn't very exciting.
Anyway, the point is that you are unlikely to find fair odds. You pretty much have to find some opponent and agree with him to duel. Or you can try make yourself look weaker than you really are, so 1-3 players think the odds are on their side, they'll be willing to engage.

You mean you can't see the oh so subtle tan I'm sporting in my portait? :)
At any rate, the pasty face comment wasn't meant as an insult, just a light jab. Very light.

1) Pick an alliance. 2) Attack them in their own space... Start by attacking their mining ops etc etc, and if you are actually hurting those they will begin sending their pvpers after you. Guys that *want* to fight and score kills.
Depending on their/your abilities you will get a lot of fighting, and many good fights. Sometimes you will get blobbed and have to go safe, but that is just a fact of life.
From my experience in the days of Rubra fighting FA, I can safely say that it is awesome fun. -- jamesw Rubra Libertas Militia
