Saw a post like this a few weeks back by viceroy or someone i think, but still, we've seen no love, us veterans or player playing since release should be rewarded, companies in R/L hand out bonuses for staying with them for years, so why cant you? we'r lining your pockets, atleast give us some love and give us what we want,
what do we want?
We want anything of considerable value, AND NO! i'm not talking a poxy impoc or fedmega or anything *** like that, that most possibly never be used by the common guy because of its value, i dont hold 1 for that very reason if i wanted 1 i'd buy 1, give us something biggwer, no, not faction dships no not free tech 2 industrials or freighters I wanna see a titan sitting in my hanger same as all the other vets, even if we dont get skills books we'd be happy knowing its sitting there waiting for us to train to use it, give the veterans sopme love we have lined your pockets with god knows how much money for 3 years now, so cha mon? what yah got to lose? and btw, NO N00BS REPLY TO THIS POST! VETERANS ONLY! its thier concern only and devs and other ccp tree huggers and stuff. If there are any troubles or questions please let us know. We will do our best to resolve any issues and promise not to place a curse on you or send trolls to eat your children!

Look at the number of SP you have.
There, you found your reward.

SP is not reward SP is just means, how long we've trained doesnt give us the advantage in any fight, jsut means we can use more stuff, still one cud be n00b at pvp and still lose all his SP's in 1 fell swoop by the simple factor of not having a clone, so CCP give us some love SP's arnt a reward. If there are any troubles or questions please let us know. We will do our best to resolve any issues and promise not to place a curse on you or send trolls to eat your children!

Your logic is that someone, somewhere could potentially be a complete idiot and lose SP, so all the veterans (where's the cutoff on that little moniker btw?) should get a free titan.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Yeah that titan would make you feel really really special with the other couple of thousand around then eh?
And it would also be a very realistic sight to see them all in space from a role playing point....

what qualifies you as a veteran? Skill point count? (some people have been around a long time with bugger all sp) Time the account activated? (different countries got the game at different times) How active you are in the forums? (plenty of nubs who don't shut up here, plenty of vets that have never posted)
Seriously, what is a veteran? Who determines the cutoff?
I'll gladly take anything CCP gives me, but I don't expect them to. The reason we are veterans (I assume I am one) is because we: a) enjoy the game b) might be waiting for something in particular to happen c) realise that even with all the whining, nerfs, and insanity, this is by far the best MMO on the market and it will take a long time and some serious vision to beat.
I am a veteran because I love this game and this gaming community (in general) - I don't need a titan/medal/e-peen to 'reward' me for being here a long time. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

So Kydor what do you do these days in Eve
This sounds like a post of someone who is bored with the game
Do you sit in an ivory tower at the top of a mega-corp and count your isk everyday?
Do you ceaselessly trains skills that you'll never use because of said ivory tower??
Why are you still playing?

I'm not a veteran but I'm darned if I'll let you tell me when or when not to post.
Anyways it just sounds like you're wanting an advantage over the rest of eve players on top of the skill point advantage you have as a "veteran".
If you want a reward for playing Eve (a reward for playing a game? lol isn't playing the game its own reward? ) - if you want a reward I say CCP sends you a free Eve mug... --

What qualifies as vet... heh well if u played the beta missed the few months the game started i would say thats a grandpa
a vet is really a guy that played the game for more then a year in my eyes
and i thinkthe whole give me titan cause i played so long is soooo wrong. The reason CCP releases these ships is because we shall have new goals to go for when we got 1 of each race BS a few faction ships and all those uber 1337 modules
there should always be a goal to reach
im not gonna say a reward wouldnt be nice cause quite frankly i would love a reward so my adress is Ehnoum Chemal tech and i would love a gallente faction frig or that sweeet concord frig
cheers lol

What a dumba$$ idea, great way to alienate all the peeps that don't get anything. Why should you get a reward for playing a game from it release date? You still pay and play because you enjoy the game right.... RIGHT?
Well there's your reward.
I have two accounts, does that mean I would get 2 Titans? DOH!

The one and only reward should be being taken a slight tad mroe seriously by CCP when discussing game issues and making any sense.
Sadly enough, a 'tad' more then zero amounts to zero.

Yes, something would be nice. But a Titan? Get real.
No, if giving out 'veteran' rewards, should be something valueless and useless - non-transferable - but stylish and cool.
Custom paintjob for a ship you pilot?
Campaign ribbon for your character portrait? (Has advantage they could be awarded/changed as age milestones reached). Or wall plaque visible behind. Or just some other neat customisation - clothes, tattoo, jewellery whatever.
Something more like that...

There are several modules only veteran players can use due to the requirement of having one or multiple lvl4/5 skills. That is quite a change compared to the previous character advancements through learning - which favoured new players. The requirements for some modules are so high that i wont even bother to try beeing able to use a T2 1400mm howitzer anymore after having a break for a few month.

Who wouldnt love a custom pointjob for their ship :) But even if you make it cost ISK depending on the shipclass (for double use as a ISK drain) and restrict their size, imagine the lag you would get if you jump into a place where 15 ships with custom "paintjob" (assuming it means some texture and not just color) are sitting. All textures had to be transfered to the client. How tiny would they have to be to avoid serious lag and avoid people switching the display of them off? (which i assume the pvp'ers would do anyway).
For anything which shows up on a character portrait, i would hope it is optional as i wouldnt want it on some of mine |

maybe a medal page for the character would be a good idea. get them from acheiving stuff ingame.
Agent tasks. (get 1 when you reach levels of lp) event. services to the population. (people like ER staff, NAGA.) 1 year and 2 years as a capsualers.
heres a good 1: With the contract system add a system that if a large contract is completed a specific medal gets awarded.
PS: your insane for trying to stop nooblets posting.

Wait, I've got it!
Veteran pets!
"Due to the unedxpectedly large amount of time these people have spent interfaced with their pods they seem to have developed previously unexpected abilities. Ishukone announced today that certain older pod pilots have developed the ability to control 'pet' drones at a sub-consious level. Unlike the drones we are all used to, these pet drones seem to have personality. Trials have begun to teach these drones tricks, but pod pilots seem to be having difficulty mastering this. Top Ishukone researcher, Malk Merson, had this to say on the subject: "Vell, ve have to remember vat vese guys are a bit psycho. They are seeming to find it hard to understand zat ze drone's personality iz just a creation ov zer own minds, and zat they are really trying to teach zemselves new tricks. However, it iz impressive how long zey are happy to talk viz zemselves."
A spokesman from rival corp commented: "Ishukone are a bunch of narrow minded *****pots. Their pod-centric eliteism only isolates them from the normal pilot masses." We tried to get a follow up statement about Prof Merson's comments, but oddly the spokesman could not be found.
In other news, it was revealed today that Rens is to become the first weapon free system in the Eve univ.... ______________________________________________

Wut!!
You feel that your veteran status should give you a Titan?
What are you on?
Now, I may not be one of the oldest veterans on here, I didnt start playing day one of live but I started before the first BS was bought flown and lost in PvP and I have been active the whole time. I do however not have any delutions this makes me worth being given a Titan for free, having played this long I have easilly managed to make more isk than I care to spend, I own several tech II BPO's, have a full set of implants and skills enough to do just about anything I want. I wont even bother about loot and ships, like most old players I have all the ships I need as well as alot of ships I dont need and more than enough modules to fit them well.
All the above I have because I am a vereran, no new player could even come close to what my char has and that actually is what I have been given as an old player.
If CCP wishes to give somthing to old dedicated players then it should be somthing with no ingame effect.

I can't fathom the logic of this thread. You've played the game through all of it's changes and upgrades. Your character is most likely in the top teir skill wise. You have a much clearer understanding of the mechanics of the game and the EVE universe.
And you seem to think that you are owed something.

3rd ly, which ever nubtard simply said there wud be masses of titans around is completly wrong, please step forth those vets have havnt spold their accoutn and have stayed playing, i'm one of them and i own the account of another vet giving me 2 accounts, but still that account had changedcredit csards holders so no entitlement. SOMETHING has to be done to keep us willing to line your pockets. and no i'm not relativly bored i jsut cant see point of a guy who plays for 3 years and a guy who's played for a year who now is a ceo of a mega corp gainaing himself 1 titan. hey presto, unfair disadvantage?
Personally I understand very little of the above, but then again I am very, very, drunk.

This sounds like a post of someone who is bored with the game
Do you sit in an ivory tower at the top of a mega-corp and count your isk everyday?
Do you ceaselessly trains skills that you'll never use because of said ivory tower??
Why are you still playing?

Assault Ships T2 gear Research Points Lvl 4 agents SP isnt that enough? Everytime a new t2 ship comes out, you get a gift! You're skills are already high enough to merit t2. Also, if you started with an R&D agent when they came out, you have over 200k rp and get said T2 bpos and make billions by just being old
The reason that this game is still fun is because you don't have to sit in a frigate mining veldspar for a year before you can actually do anything. It keeps the inflow of players high, so that the game can continue. Not everyone is as cool as you and started in beta.

What I want? EVE to live and florish like the awesome game it is. And no matter how much time I'm able to put into it due to RL or whatever i make sure the money keeps flowing to the makers that are awesome themselves of this awesome game that's given me much enjoyment all the time I've been playing.
You wanna feel special, then feel special about being part of something awesome.
You wanna feel apprecaited for your money, them working their butts of day in day out to build upon and improve what they've given us.
A spoiled brat you are, a titan, and given no less, where's the feel of accomplishment from getting something cause you got a credit card. Cause that is all that it takes to deserve a titan from your post.
I'll never fly a titan, but when the time comes, hard work and determination would see me in one if I wanted, and that's the enjoyment a vet would get out EVE, not being handed such a thing on a platter. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

I'm reiterating my call for programmable horns that we can fit in our hi slots and honk at friends as we fly past them. Lots of fun!

clearly veterans should get:
a fanfare soundclip whenever they enter a system, that CTD's everyone else in the system; their own private places to mine in 0.0, with no pirates to bother them; a full set of instajumps; an isk screensaver; a manual, featuring 1/10th the ships in the game, with ludicrous descriptions; all 'day one' players should be given the option to become jovian, and own jovian space.
/sarcasm off
our reward for playing eve this long is the superb game we have today, with evequest lvl 4 missions, ganking as the primary form of pvp, a minority of systems that are actually ever visited, a one-system economy...erm...

becuase no-one is suggesting a forum search tool?
IMO these are the best type of threads, becuase it's clear that the original idea has 0% chance of being implemented yet gives people the opportunity for sarcastic humour, jibes and jokes and mods to get involved (which they love, really)

Kydor,
In our corp alone, we have some 20-30 player accounts that are "virgin" ones, so, in other words, you want us to get 20 titans? For free?
Your reward for being here from the start is simple. You know the game, you have the skillpoints, you know how to play, you know people, you have enjoyed the game.
Handing out free **** to veterans? Tsk. Why the heck should veterans get anything at all for free? Our biggest reward is that we ARE veterans, and that we have been here and helped the game form (altho sometimes in ways we dont all like).
So hey, sure, give Evolution some 20 titans. I wonder what would happen........

The stick of course. The moon should be vanilla flavoured.
And I want it NOW. I've been playing this game since May 2003 dammit, I deserve it!

Let me see ...
I use TL2 large guns, I refine for 0/0 in my favorite stations, I produce big ships and sell them successfully, I recently learned something about "trade", I have kind of a reputation, call quite a lot of people "brother/sister" and I know how to fit my ship according to the task and pilot it quite well.
And I have screenshots from medusa bugs.
Hm, no need for more than that. You can keep your "special vets and ccp titans" unless you want me to have a jove dreadnought or two. That'd change everything.
Honestly ... bad idea and far from the railway. ____________________________________________________
