I'm worried that this sort of thing is going to further reduce combat opportunities. People wont have to lose many ships to this before they become unwilling to sit out in the open for any period of time. I'm expecting it will mean that it's even more a case of if you're not moving on insta's you're sat at a safespot.
Let's have your thoughts people.
P.S.
I could go on about how covert ops combined with the current fast locking, instant killing version of fleet combat has already started the move in this direction (being caught with the wrong range ammo loaded, and even quickly swapped crystals, is a huge disadvantage), but that's really for another topic.
Well it would have been if I hadn't just written it here.

in my oppinion bombers are designed to destroy key ships in fleetbattles, i.e a bb with 6 damps is stopping your sniper ships? get a few bombers and make a suprise attack...u got a boosted(by CCP) support cruiser helping your enemies out? get even more bombers and kill it.
I don't think bombers are forcing more ppl to sit at ss all day, they should just bring suprise to fleet battles!

Bear in mind these things can't use covert ops cloaks so they are terribly vulnerable to interceptor's and other fast moving ships.

not to mention that if they use cloak, their lock times will be horrible. When you got "many ships" on your side, the enemy will probably die before the first bomber gets a lock. And even if it does, missiles take time to travel.
And if you got a small fleet of nothing but bombers, the enemy will have time to warp out, even the slowest of them. They'll probably be able to pick off a few of those bombers on their way out if they feel like it
I really doubt that bombers will be that uber. But I need to see their final stats for better assessment

My point is more about what I think will happen if they work as described in the quote. Not if I think they can do it or not.

They won't be able to warp cloaked as they can not use the covert ops cloak so for them to surprise attack you they would have to have been there before you arrived. Also their defenses are paper thin so if they get locked they are ******.
They biggest advantage of them is of course that you can pick your fight and at what range. I kind of see this as an assassin, the ninja of EVE

dont worry the quote means nothing, check the racial ship decription. Atm the stats for stealth bombers are utter junk.... with a mighty 2 cruise every 20 seconds their gonna have have trouble killing t1 friggies let alone a cruiser. Stick a cloak on a raven and you have a ship that does the same job as the bombers except soooo much better. Exactly the same effect as a cloak can be had by a bs warping to a covert ops anyway without any of the disadvantages
Im still gonna get one cause kestrals look cool though
