Edited by: Yorr Shaad on 13/04/2005 20:37:30 Can't even download it from the eve-files or the torrent (no seeders I guess). When I try the mirror it stops and says finnished after about 10-15 mb loaded. And if I try stream the film, it does crap to the media player.
Really want to see this one
Edit: I know no one will probably listen to this pledge, but another mirror, or a torrent seeder? Plz?

Edited by: Gan Ning on 14/04/2005 13:46:50 Yeh sorry, the first link I was using went over the 6gb bandwidth allowed and i got a stern email from the host saying i used 17gb bleh bleh disconnected for this month.
Can anyone else host, or does anyone know of any temporary free hosts that will take a 112 mb file?
As for the torrent I will have to sort it out when I get home tonight.

I did some tests on this movie, so far I have performed the test on 4 different connections.
2 providers in Sweden 1 in USA 1 in Asia
The download worked properly on 3 of them while one quits after 10-20mb. I will do some testing to try to find the cause for the failure.
Update: Using the same machine and link that previously failed, and keep using IE it fails, switching to wget and various download managers the download work flawless, yet again using IE - failed.
Using IE6.0 + SP2 on WinXP Pro.
So my conclusion is that it is IE that is disconnecting. Are you others using IE too?

Edited by: Gan Ning on 14/04/2005 17:08:08 ok torrent is up and im seeding till late tonight if anyone wants.
Right click save as then run the torrent from your machine or the torrent file ends up corrupt.
The eve-files download link does work! Just use a decent browser like Firefox or Netscape

No, I'm using Firefox + WinXP SP2. Thanks for looking into this.
Edit: IE is disconnecting me too, only it takes me up to 30MB instead of 20MB.

Wierd. IE under xp gets about 2.5 meg of the file...then thinks its 'complete' and finishes.
Under Linux/firefox, max it gets (from eve/eve-files, etc.) is about 4 meg...then thinks its complete.....
and..........angelfire refuses a direct connection to get the torrent file.
:(
Never saw this kinda' wierdness before.....AND I just finished downloading the ATUK video (all 100+meg of it) from the same source(s)........with no issues. is it possible the file up'd has become corrupt?
(the torrent link does NOT work, if it did, as the tracker is behind angelfire and it refuses the connection.).

Angelfire does not allow hotlinking, lol i did say right click save as! The torent seems to get corrupted if you try to connect directly.
Save it to desktop and then run it.
As for people getting broken downloads, im not sure maybe the eve-files copy is borked, but you should get a 112mb movie that runs smoothly with perfect motion and sound and no breaking up.

http://www.angelfire.com/dragon3/ganning/oveurs_acquisition.avi.torrent Open this directly into your torrent program and it will do the rest. Edited by: Sevarus James on 15/04/2005 19:02:56 Edited by: Sevarus James on 15/04/2005 18:51:49 Gan, I DID do as you said....and last night it didn't work. I can understand your frustration, but I'm not a 'noob' when it comes to this stuff. (member in good standing on a private tracker, comfortable with virtualdub, besweet, etc.) I know the difference between a 'time-out' and and end of file when downloading from ftp or http.
The right click save as did NOT save a torrent file to the desktop...the file was NOT recognized by Azy as a valid torrent.
Tried this link per the last posters instructions:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon3/ganning/oveurs_acquisition.avi.torrent
and the torrent is now leeching........nadda in Azureus as there are no seeders. (or leechers for that matter.)
The http download is getting 2.3 meg from eve-files before receiving eof message. My d/l manager is being told the file is complete and saves it.......so something is happening. (tried a different movie from eve-files.....and works fine, so I'm betting not MY end that's the problem.)

I'm getting the same partial DL problem from the EVE-files mirror, and BitComet isn't getting a response from the torrent tracker. Also, I had to rename the .torrent file (when I used "Save Target As..." it wanted to save "oveurs acquisition.avi.avi" instead of .torrent). I think there's something funny with the tracker right now; it'd be nice if somebody could seed and see if that helps.
