Edited by: Jim Steele on 11/04/2005 13:10:47 Im stuck between training for large energy turrets or a HAC but i cant decide as both skills are rank 5.
Also i dont know which HAC to train for; I have med and small energy specialisations, and good missile skills so im thinking Amarr would be the best choice of HAC based on my current skills, that said it wouldnt take me long to train up hybrids either since they are at lvl4. So the obrious choice would be Caldari, Amarr or *spit* galante.
If i get a HAC i'd want to use it on lvl4's so it needs to be tough, but id also like to try it in PvP.
Also im sure i could lvl4 alot easier in an Apoc with T2 turrets since my damage would be a bit harder, and id also be better in corp-ops using the usual gankageddon.
So its a tough choice, most of my combat is small skirmishes anyway tbh so mabye a HAC would be the better choice?

I'm sure a Sacrilege could tank all of the lvl4's. Killing anything is debatable though. The fact you can use T2 guns for it means that you'd readily be able to make enough DOT to kill most of the bships (even if it does take a while).

Edited by: Jim Steele on 11/04/2005 14:30:09 I was thinking more a Zealot with Beams or Pulses, reserving the Sacralage for PvP/.0 options. (id buy both cos i can ) I do like the look of the ishtar or diemos tho and im sure the Caldari ones might get better after the missile nerf

umm, hate to burst your love for HAC's but...
They don't survive very long in solo lvl 4 NPC kill missions. I'm a Zealot pilot with T2 med laser beam and pulse skills. Took my ship to a LVL 4 angel extravaganza WITH a Megathorn who was mission lead. I got aggro'd following him in support and didn't last more than 5 seconds. & I also had a 1600mm Rolled tungsten and repairers' on. sad nite. LvL-3's aren't so bad though. IMHO avoid solo lvl-4's with really expensive ships.
Here's another Zealot HAC tip as well. T2 med las skills may be uber damage dealers but if you don't continue training those skills past lvl 1 you'll shoot the heck out of empty space. Even with targeting mods. First and Former North American Director of <FROG MORTON IND.> |

Did you have a thermal hardener? What about kinetic or EM?
Angels do all types of damage and adding HP won't do any good if you can't soak.

Edited by: BOBHOPE on 12/04/2005 00:24:31 if you choose HAC's, my advice is to go max on all the associated skills.
I got lvl 5 in heavy assault ships, and am on the way to lvl 5 in medium pulse and beam specialization lvl 5.
It is an awesome ship with awesome potential, just takes time

My Cerberus is still alive and I have 70k lp from Level 4 missions for Salvation Angels. It has also soloed the first hangar of a 10/10 complex about 20 times. Great NPC ship.
However, Id say go for Amarr, as they are really nice for PvP. ------------------------------------------------

Depends, HAC is more of a prestige ship, a status symbol of a major quantity of time taken in learning. I only ever flew my deimos in pvp and sadly found it somewhat limited in its uses considering the cost. If cash is no issue then sure, but you will probably get the job done easier and faster with a bs(and t2 guns on that). ___

>>> To Weston: I had a Microcell Nanite hardner I can't exactly remember which one, as it was one of the modules that got destroyed.
Has anyone seen a load out post for HAC's at all yet? First and Former North American Director of <FROG MORTON IND.> |

Justin, there is not a lot you can do with 28 perception and 24 willpower. thankfully i have been playing long enough to appreciate my attributes. i must say i enjoy what it allows me.

Thanks for all your kind replys, ive decided to stick with gunnary for a bit and take large turrets to lvl5. I think using t2 guns on the apoc might make lvl4 missions a bit easier (besides just flying a raven). Im not really sure which cruiser to get either so this will give me time to decided, at the same time as giving me a bit more "ownage"
