I play on a laptop with a mobile radeon 7500, runs nice and smooth (I daresay as well as my friend with a Radeon 9800). My card is old, and it plays just fine. Now, I have to use the omega drivers (or I get a graphic bug with webifiers that makes my frame rate go to about .00000000000001 fps). So, whatever you get, will probably work ok.

Eve runs okay on my laptop (radeon 9000); gameplay is slow at times and I do crash from time to time, but it seems like that happens to most people anyway. ----------------------------

I use a laptop for Eve and Eve runs perfectly on it.
128MB ATI mobile Radeon 9700 RAM 512MB DDR CPU 1.70GHz Intel Centrino
if you're laptop does not have a good fan system then it's very good to have a Notebook cooler if you're planing to play eve on it.

Works like a charm, and looks amazing.

I use a Dell XPS with an ATI 9800 (256M ram), 3.0 processor and 1 gig of ram when I travel. The only complaint I have about the XPS is that it is a battery hog. I get about 90 minutes of use on battery. Hard to watch a movie all the way through on a flight. Runs EVE like a dream.

I wouldn't recomend compaq to anyone but my Presario x1000 runs eve just fine. I still have to use my desktop for stuff like Half Life 2 of course. Specs:
1.4ghz P-M 512meg of ram ATI 9200 32meg 60gig harddrive etc..
Nice looking widescreen laptop runs eve just fine along with HL1 + mods and lots of other older games. Pretty much any fairly new laptop will run eve just fine.

Alienwares suck...they have all kinds of problems...no laptops are that great...comparitively...Dell's (if you keep them clean...ie spray the dust out of the vents) run the best and have the fewest problems (from what I've seen).

I run EVE on a 3 year old Dell machine (inspiron 8200) and it runs fine, not super fine but good enough. Dell usually put a pretty decent graphic card on their lap tops so I would recommend it. __________ Capacitor research |

Just to second Kristopher's entry. I run EVE on a Compaq Presario x1000 (same specs as he posted), and other than noticing how MUCH EVE uses processor (it heats up gooooood), the laptop runs EVE beautifully.
--a less expensive alternative to the higher priced stuff.
The BEST part is the widescreen rez. 12x8. :)
