The review is still going. They want to announce the result of all 4 summer-reviews at once... so it's gonna take some more time.

i would buy a lego rifter, but knowing my luck i'll drop a piece of lego and end up standing on it. Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |

You could just go to a Lego store, buy all the individual pieces yourself and build one. http://stores.lego.com/en-US/default.aspx |

Lego ran into problems when trying to make the proper wrecked scaffolding pieces needed to recreate the minmatar ships. Also, its hard to get the proper rust look on smooth plastic blocks. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

The rifter is damned sexy. The Merlin is also. I like the Templar (i saw on the site earlier) and the Einherji. Reaper is super OMFGBUYITBUYITBUYITNAONAONAO! Rokh is nice looking. Not a fan of the Raven and the Megathron. They really need to be bigger so you can use more pieces in creating the proper shapes. The Myrmidon is ugly as hell. Sorry, no two ways about it. Needs more SNOT. Bumping, leave it alone. |

I very much agree... Kentt also fixed it to be more rusty-like too...
Sad that alot of the good builds (the drone fighters included) are not getting as much recognition as they should. The Reaper should be up to 100 for how epic the thing is. |

ok my thoughts
Merlin + 1 Raven + 1 Einherji + 1 Reaper + 1 but man change the colours on it - its a minmatar rust bucket not a grey caldari lego ship. when the colors are fixed it will go to + 2 Rokh - eh ok Myrmidon - +2
and as for that mega? OMG MY EYES!!!! Please please please rethink it. Colors and proportions are all wrong. |

according to the most recent news from the lego site at 20/12/2012, the rifter doesn't meet the requirements needed to bring the model into the productionline.
now i really had hope it would make it through the judgement, i have to find the model and the lego that's been used to build the ship. my wife knows i would want it for my birthday. :)
any ideas what lego has been used? with a little more detail i may be able to build this rifter and it will get a prominent place on my desk! |

This is a surprise? There are only a very limited number of Eve geeks left, certainly not enough to sell a reasonable number of kits.

The crap "Back to the future" deloren won it, partly because the guys who designed are giving there 1% comission to the micheal j fox fund.
So no Rifter not unless the designer gives us the bpo to build the lego rifter :) You only-árealise you life has been a waste of time, when you wake up dead. |

The best place to find pieces for custom builds providing you have a parts list is Bricklink.com, I wont link it as I am not sure this is allowed on the forums, but I use this site all the time and have a store on it.
No way Lego will consider releasing EVE ships even though the designs are pretty awesome its just too niche for them, subs would need to go from 450k to 4.5 million for them to even consider it. |

I think that can be roughly translated as not profitable enough, after all with the juicy licenses they already have, Star Wars, Harry Potter an Lord Of The Rings to name but a few why would they even risk it.
If CCP approached them directly for say a range of mini sets and a guaranteed order for their own merchandise store they might get somewhere.
The Lego design team seem to use cuusoo mainly for vague inspiration for pre-existing themes from what I have seen anyway. |

It was pretty clear. People prefere the easy option, even large companies. The Adventures of a Belligerent Undesirable |
