For drones too fast, your BS can carry a bunch of drones for them :p

never had the 2x 500k one at level 4, always the deadspace one, which i find tough.
Update to vengence (Ammatar Faction) Venegence (Sansha, Centus,)
Tier 1
you warp in between a serious amount of ships, i took some time getting some distance between them and myself no aggro on warp in
5 groups:
1 True centus lord (1.75mil) 1 True Centus Juggurnought (82.5k) 2 centum underlord (90k) 2 centum devourer (75k)
1 centus lord (750k) 7 Centum Ravager (40k)
2 Centus Lord (750k) 2 sansha's Demons (30k) 1 sansha's berserker (25k)
3 Centus Tyrant (1.25mil)
2 Centii Butcher (13k) 2 Centii Manslayers (11k) 1 True Centii Enslaver (12k) 3 Centum Devourer (75k) 1 centum Underlord (90k) 1 True Centum Devourer (95k) 1 True Centum Juggernaut (82.5k)
Tier 2
Warp in on at 10km range (aggro) 1 centus Tyrant (1.25mil) 1 Centii Cannibal (18k) 1 True Centum Ravager (52.5) 1 Centum Juggernaut (55k)
2 True Centus BeastLord (1.5mil) 1 Centus Tyrant (1.25mil
2 Centus Overlord (1mil) 2 True Centum beast (60k) 1 Centum Devourer (75k)
1 Centum Devourer (75k) 1 Centum Juggernaut (55k) 5 True Centum Beast (60k)
Tier 3 No aggro
I decided to take some time getting out of range of the sentries before attacking, attacked the main group 80km way from sentries (60km from pirates) and they did not attack. 1 True Centus Overlord (2mil) 1 Named Priate (2.5mil) for me Draben Kuyakei (curiser loot) 2 Sansha's Berseker 1 Sansha's Demon 5 Tower Sentry Sansha III

How do you do it without NOS? I've always found NOS is critical on any setup. The extra cap they provide is indispensable. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

I've finally setteled on a good setup, but I have 12m sp's so quite a few things are to 5 that others might not have normally, Energy Systems Operation 5, Electronics Upgrades 5, Weapon Upgrades 5 etc.
High: 6x siege and 1 nos Med: XL-C5L, Boost AMP, 4 named hards Low: 4x PDS II, Damage mod
This setup tends to be pretty invinceable. The only time I run into problems is on the bonus stage of extravaganza and the final stage of the deadspace revenge mission. Coincidentally they both have 4 Gursta Sentry tower III's and lots of battleships. You have to refit your hardeners to do these levels, put on 2em 1kin 1therm. And after you kill the towers you might want to warp out and refit back to 2kin and 2therm

Just an obvious tip - on the DUO OF DEATH (Deadspace version) mission, if you read the blurb it will tell you what faction ship types they will be. They always appear to be 2 spiders + 2x2.75m BSs of the relavent faction. (For Sancha this was True Centus Tyrants).
Just thought I should point that out before someone fits the wrong hardeners for the faction theyre fighting.

may i ask why you use 250mm's on a raven, i use them on a BC and they hit really crappy wouldnt it be better to go for dual 150's for the firgs?

Originally by: Cannedbeef Me and my corp got a raven, apoc, megathron, and Cerebrus together today in the Angel Extravganza level 4 bonus level... We didnt last 15 seconds. Warp scramblers, webbers, LOTS of sentries, everything.
First, decide on who will be the first to enter and tank the turrets. Once that person enters the gate, everyone else needs to enter right after them. As you all enter, run away back towards the way you warped in. Everything will aggro the first guy in and start heading your way fast. You want to get roughly 130k from the turrets which is when the rats will start returning to thier stations. Do NOT fire at anything before the 130k mark unless you like a challenge.
Now if you have range to hit the rats good, if not head back their way. Your first targets should be the frigs as they warp jam and web. Then pick off the cruisers. By now the battleships should be onto you and in range. Now all that's left is to kill the turrets. Destroying the retirement home gives 11th tier overseer's loot worth 6.2 mil. Destroying the battlestation gives 30k Bane torps, 20 Ogre drones, 10k Large Projectile ammo and 2-3 pieces of useless loot. This is from the Angel Extravaganza mind you.
This can be done by 1 person it just takes alot longer. I usually do this with a friend and it can be done in 3 hrs total from first shot fired to the last loot can collected.

Edited by: Kaeten on 03/07/2005 23:59:31 Angel Extravaganza. For some weird reason we were up against Gisti and not angels. Also most of the frigates web so don't be surprised if you get webbed. And another thing, remember that if you get to close to a group they will aggro.
first lvl: 2x 1mill bs at start, 1x 500k about 15 cruisers and 10 frigs. They DONT aggro and there are no scramblers.
second lvl: 1x 2mill bs with bunch of frigs, one of them scrambles (arch gisti hunter). They AGGRO when u warp in. after that there are about 12 cruisers and 1x 1.25mill bs.
third lvl: 5x light launchers, 2x heavy launchers, 2x angel battery, 2x cruisers, 3x sentry guns, 1x cruise launcher. Everything AGGROs when you jump in. No scramblers.
forth lvl: 4 large groups in this one. Noone aggros . Each group except one has got 2 bs's. Biggest bs is a 2mill one (Gisti war general). 8 frigates and 16 cruisers divided out amoug the four groups. There are no scrambling frigates.
fifth lvl: 6bs, 12 cruisers, 11 frigates, 2 drones. You get aggrod by 2 bs and some cruisers. rest is split up into 3 groups.
Bonus: didnt do
I did this with a friend so...

update: War Situation Part 1-4 (cold war)
Part 1: hauling (around 6600 m¦) Part 2: hauling (small amount)
Part 3: 1 stage DS - 2 Apocs, 2 Maller, 4 Frigs (all linked) - rats do not attack at warp-in - take out outpost building too!
Part 4: 2 stage DS 1st stage: 3 ceptors, 2 frigs, 3 Maller, 1 Armag. (all linked,dont aggro at warp-in)
2nd stage: 6 frigs, 4 maller, 2 Apocs, 1 named Apoc (General) with nice armor tank (all linked, dont aggro at warp-in)
rewards: -around 2,5 Mio cash and 4500 LP for all 4 missions -General drops a random +2 implant -sometimes nice loot from apocs (arab siege launcher etc.)
tips: -get distance at first since they wont aggro, then snipe -high damage ammo and heavy drones to break generals tank -done with a 3 Mio SP char in a tempest, not all that hard

Wow, my first post here...I think.
One thing that I have seen with the Extraveganza's:
For the Angel one: I lost a Raven the first time I did it. Not wishing to repeat the mistake of the past, I put 2 WCS in the low slot to cover all basis so I don't have to swap out each and every mission since it was scrambled and I couldn't get out.
The Guri one: The Upsurpers use Juggernaut's. With my missile skill levels where they are at, I stay outside of about 75 km and my range is 83 km. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you are moving away from them, the distance (time x missile speed) starts to play into your favor. Since they are moving towards you at an angle almost parallel to you while you are moving away, their range actually drops. Their torps fall short, but I can hit them all day long. This helps alot of you are engaged by a lot of targets. On the 5th level in the Guri Extraveganza, shooting at the Sentry guns gets everyone turned onto you. I started to move quite a bit away and was able to deal with alot of the cruisers and a few of the scorps before I had to warp away because of my cap getting too low. The Upsurpers did a lot of damage.
In general for the missions: you will take damage, it's just a matter of how you deal with it, and picking the targets that are easier to kill to get rid of the nickle and dime damage that adds up over the course of a few seconds for their weapons to recycle to fire again. Taking a torp or a couple of cruise missile is different than taking on 5 ships causing 20 points of damage per hit every 3 to 5 seconds, and the shield hardeners don't protect against the damage they cause. IMHO, take on the cruisers first if they are too close (define too close?) and are causing damage.
For weapons: I thought about the dual 150's at one point. But on my Raven I have the drones set up so I have 9 total (I can use 9 at a time) and they work well for dealing with the frigs and up close stuff. I have had some limited success with named 250's because I started to engage the frigs outside the optimal range for the ammo I have loaded so the second or third volley hits. About that time the drones arrive and tear them up. Switch targets while the drones are engaging and repeat. It works for me alright, although results may vary with others. The 250's also give me a bit of upclose and personal, but at a distance, engagement range for taking on the BS's that show up.
My 2 cents

The Guristas Extravaganza (and all other Guristas missions)is easy with this setup:
Raven Hi slots: 6 named siege launchers and 2 other things Med: Large Shield Booster II, Shield Booster Amp, 2 Kin Handerners II's, 1 Thermal Hardener II, Cap Recharger II Low: 5 Power Diagnostic Systems II's Drones: 6 Wasps for Frigs and Cruisers (Can use normal hardeners too)
Just nail the BS's first with torps, while waiting till the frigs/cruisers get close. When cruisers/frigs are close use the drones to kill them. If BS's are down use some torps on cruisers and drones on frigs
With this setup you can leave the shield booster and hardeners on forever !!! and you dont have to take distance because your shield will never drop below 90% even is you aggro 2 groups at a time.

Read a thread somewhere suggesting a hard lvl 4 deadspace be cleared out with an enyo before you take your BS in. Tried it, worked like a charm. Basic fitting is:
4X 150mm rail IIs 1X ABII, 1X named webber 1X armor rep II, 1X mag stab, 2X cap power relays
It's a bit exciting at times, but it's quite doable to kill frigs, cruisers and sentries. Can kill a lot of BSes too but it takes a long time. Load a LOT of AM ammo and some iron too, as you spend the first bit running away and shooting from range until the frigs/ceptors are down.
I assume other AFs like wolf, hawk and retribution would work too?

Just got level 4 missions, did Duo of Death with a buddy in a scorp me in harpy. Scorp warps in and collected the agro of 5 spider drones and 2x 1.5mil bs ( somthing popes ). Anyways we killed the drones and the scorp warps out to trasfer agro to my harpy. I hapily orbit the battleships at 9km with a fleeting web as the scorp warps back in to polish them off with me. There were 5 deadspace buildings that droped no loot. The drones didnt drop anything, 1 BS didnt drop a can, the other droped a can with cruiser loot and the mission objective item.
