I am not a very old player. I am only 5 months old, however, i have jumped the bandwagon and done lvl 4 missions. I have made obsene ammounts of isk for 0 risk.
That being said, level 4s need to be ballanced. There have been several propositions- increase agent payout but remove npc bonuses. I wouldent mind that tbh, as long as agents payed out 4-5 times what they do now.
OR
Dummy down lvl 4 spawns. The most you would see would be 2 500k bses in a mission, and some mid grade cruisers.
As it is, i ran 5 drone missions and had enough minerals to build a BS (minus some trit and pye, but the extra high ends could be sold to buy it). this is OBsene! miners get screwed, newbies get screwed... its terrably unballancing! please CCP, do something.
Thoughts on this please?

That risk/reward has been done to death for about the same amount of time you've been playing eve

The more that I think about this, the more i've come to the following conclusion. The problem is not with lvl4 agents nor their bounties. The problem is with the raven and torpedos.
If we didnt have the above combo, missions would take much longer to complete and would require more skilled pilots to solo, requiring 95% of current mission runners to group up. The isk-over-time influx would drop significantly.
Since there is a missile change coming "Soon", we'll see how well this works.

perhaps the pay will balance itself whenever the more expensive ships come in game t2 bships ftw + 2bil a piece at least. Dreadnaughts same i imagine. whenever these money gobblers show up, the lvl4 profits won't be so much of a deal and people will seek out even more lucaritive ventures to supply the isk for there uber ship cravings...meaning 0.0 POS imho.

on a side note, I'ld like to say that contary to what what people whine about, that lvl 4 has discouraged pvp, that in my case it has actually incouraged pvp because I can now afford by battle cost more readily, with money being less (though still important) an issue.
used to be that a bship lost on my part dictated 1-2months of gametime effort lost. now things feel a little more balance with only 2weeks gametime lost for each bship loss. I like the freedom it brings and I've recently moved out to low sec space of Solitude & Syndicate, the most camped and notorius area of Eastern space, to feed both pvp and pve crazing. I encourage others to do the same.

Level4 missions are balanced because only 1% of the eve players are smart enough to exploit them to the fullest, the other 99% are just to damn stupid to make the insane amounts of money that you can make from ehm. Also if the missile changes are done correct they will no longer be done solo but with a frig or cruiser pilot as help to******inties :D
All lvl4 missions did was show how stupid parts of the eve player base are. Lets thank these stupids, because of them we get to make easy money. |

Let me see:
When these missions first came out with Exodus: Zyd was averaging 4.3-4.5k pu, Iso 75-85, Mex 14, Mega 5k (but had been dropping slowly for months), Nox 360-400.
After 4 months of these supposedly obscene (by your description) mineral drops: Zyd is 4.3-4.5 (no change), Iso 90-110 (higher), Mex 16 (higher), mega 4.5 (but had been dropping all along), Nox 380-400 (no significant change).
Explain to me how miners are getting screwed here please?
Did it ever occur to you that perhaps this is by design, because with exodus half the miners in EVE are mining moon products and not roids and this is CCP's way of keeping mineral supply reasonably steady so that BS's don't cost 200 mil to build?

To balance missions I reckon they should get you to try them in a tempest/apoc or megathron.
Then you will finally shut up.
Theres one prob with missions and thats Ravens and the (largely) nubs that fly em.
