Can't use these little beggars at all.
I select 3 I analyze and nothing, This is with the 12AU ones and within Scanner range, Nothing is detected. EVER.
What I'm asking for from you guys is a Definitive Guide on their operation. Because this is what a Lot of people need.
Any links Replies, greatly appreciated.

There was a great guide to probes here a few months ago. I tried searching for it recently and went back over a 100 pages and nothing
It was called "Cloaking 101" or something VERY similar.
I will drop you a very unsubtle hint though as to the BIG issue with probes: They scan on a 1 AU thick Cheese Wedge and NOT a cone as you would hope!
Best of luck!

Knock yourself out Eye, I'm too lazy ;p. It may or may not need an update with this patch, now that scan times are down from 300 seconds to more reasonable levels. "System Scanners now work properly " - from what I've heard this isn't true, they don't work any more "properly" than they used to. They still do the job though, just about, as long as your target isn't too far above or below you.
Another nice thing that came with the patch is that the game will now tell you the distance to wherever you're warping to while you're in warp. Should be great for dropping bookmarks more accurately.
Someone really needs to keep me away from the Taranis |
