I never tried to drop a smart bomb on one, to be honest. Was told that the Legatus (which is only available to the Devs, GMs and a very small list of ISD volunteers, plus it is the only one of the three with slots) couldn't mount weapons, so I never thought to give it a try.
They can actualy, or the dev was cheating again.

If you look at the stats, you will notice they have no Launcher hardpoints or Turret hardpoints. So the only weapon that you could mount would be a smart bomb.
Thing I dont get is the ship discription:

To make sure there isn't the possibility of an armed and invulnerable ship falling into the hands of an unscrupulous player. Plus, the ship is designed for a support role and with the invulnerable state, it doesn't need weapons.
As for the description, it is an old one and in need of an update. Not sure if there was ever consideration given to putting a turret or hp on it.

Hey Hammer...why don't you slip the Hybrid ammo changes back in again eh? I had a blast the one night they were live. It was such a weird feeling...all the different kinds of hybrid ammos were...useful...
