To the semis. Well done Eindhoven. And btw: shame on the Italian 'fans' for committing violence - yet again. It's about time for a lengthy ban I would say.

i agree that something should be done about those cheating bastards (fans throwing flares at the opposing keeper, haxsploit?), they ruin the image of italian football, but its not as if they told the fans to do it. ----------------------------------------------

TBF the Dutch have no right to complain about what Italian fans do when it's pretty much in comparison to what they, the Germans and the Italians do, as well as our good old world famous English hooligans.

We might be still famous for it, but it's nothing now in the uk to what it once was.
I speak as somebody going to games in the 80's, and still catching the odd one these days.
Different world at the grounds now, and iv'e seem it all, from fighting in the train station in stoke, to having bricks thrown over the fence at us down at millwall, and then cobbed at the bus going down the highstreet.
If uefa don't come down hard, then there sheer hypocrites, it rains coins and god knows what else in spain, the italians in the last few years have had stabbings at grounds, and massive crowd trouble on a weekly basis. And the way the turks behave in european competition has been in utter contempt for years now.
Any of this happend in england, we would get bowled over in no time. ------------------------

I was surprised that PSV went through - I thought Lyon were clear favourites.
But in penalties anything can happen. ---------------------------

Indeed. UEFA need to be as firm on the italians as they once were on the English.
