I thought since there wasnt anyone whining about this, why not start a thread about it. When i opened up the market to see the missile specilization skills i was happy to see that soon the tech II launchers would come into play. I also noticed that unlike the gunnery specialization, the missile specs didnt have a progressive movement up from lights > torpedos like the gunnery specs do. All you have to do is train lets say, torpedos up to 5 then train the specilization and then your done and you can now use tech II siege.
I was just wondering why CCP did this the way they did and not like the gunnery skills. And is this up for change?

Those are just placeholder values, we wont see what they really are untill after missile nerf.

It's pretty obvious that you'll have to have stands missiles 5, standard missile spec 4, hvy missiles 5, hvy missile spec 4, torps 5 and torp spec 1 to use them.
Maybe CCP will include training cruise missiles in there requirements, I don't know. I hope they'll make the t2 launcher reqs less than t2 turret reqs since us missile users have been waiting on -our- t2 weapons for like 5 months while watching t2 pulses and 1400's kick everyone's ass... --------------------------------------

Why would T2 launchers have less fitting requirements? All the T2 guns have higher fittings reqs. Or did you mean skill requirements? And if they follow suit, T2 launchers will have the same base stats as the Arbalest, + 2% damage or ROF per advanced skill level.
