hi
i'm starting this thread to see if anyone else has problems with eve playing on a overclocked system .
why is it eve is the only game for me that crashes to desktop when overclocked ?
i run at 11 x 240 fsb doom ,counterstrike and every other game run at this speed ..grrr
anyone got any answers all would be welcome ..

EVEs got *Mad* memory usage patterns, lots of object creation and destruction - It's heavy on your RAM and even heavier on your CPU - Doom on the otherhand is very heavy on your Graphics card and not your CPU because once a level is loaded it only needs to worry about AI ...
That' my suggestion as to why anyway :)

Hmph, doesnt work that way for me. Eve runs just fine TILL I LOAD THE BLOODY TV. FIX IT ATI, HOW CAN I WATCH NEIGHBOURS AND KILL STUFF AT THE SAME TIME!!!?!?!
(3000+ @ 2.6ghz, 325mhz HTT/237mhz FSB, 3700EB CAS2.5-2-2-0, DFI LP, water.)

ok is this just an ati problem then or does it happen to the nvidia guys too ????

I've got an old nForce mainboard with an XP2100+ and integrated GF2 grafix. I have overclocked it to run at 145Mhz system bus and it never ever fails or crashes. 
BTW: it's lag free until i get close to any amarr station or massive fleet battle.

The only game i have crashed with in the last 2 years is eve. Every few patches i will have a crashing spat. I have been an ati guy for along time. I have heard that soundblaster is also no so hot w/ eve... but that is not a consistent report... When i overclock i crash like a win ME system :P oh and watercooled w/ eve running i run at about 30-32 C ... over clocked is the same temp i just cant keep her goin
