After 2 months when you get bored of clicking same astreoid for hours bored or some bug happens that make you lose items. You won't say same thing. You cannot understand whinning people unless you live what they lived. |

If you're still mining the same asteroid after hours on end, you need to get better lasers.
As for the topic subject - did you read it first?

Yep. I love it too. Got a new blackmail contract, blew up 2 of 4 cruisers in 0.0 outside empire space. I am back in town :-). ---

This game is awesome. So many things to try and so much to do. It had a decent launch, I've seen much worse, combat been balanced now various tactics and equipment can be used. Parts of game are having their functionality improved. EVE is shaping up nicely.

I love this game. And I think CCP is very well in touch with the player base and very much in tune with game balance issues that need to be addressed.
And I am NOT one to be a blind fan or anything. I'm extremely critical of devs in general, and when I played DAOC I was constantly flaming Mythic for their horrible customer service and totally clueless decisions about balance and content--their devs are complete idiots and I'd have been leaping at their throats if I found out where they lived IRL. But I honestly think the CCP devs are incredibly good at what they do and since release I've only really disagreed with two of their decisions the entire time.
I'm also familiar enough with MMORPGs to know that Eve is quite a stable game for a MMORPG so close to release. There are very few performance problems compared to other such games I've played at this stage.
This is an extremely good game. I love it. :) ___________________________________________

Wow.. This is sad. 2 hours after the 1st post and only 6 responses (not counting Josh's reply since he posted). Most post get this 6 responses in 1 hour.
Is it true that players would rather write more about negative than the positive aspects of Eve? It has potential and I hope it will make it.

Zorlo, most of the positive people are actually spending their time palying and enjoying the game instead of complaining on the boards. =) I strongly feel that we will start seeign soem serious PvP amost large corps as the next few months roll through. I am certainly glad that certain unnamed people have no vision whne it somes to finding more than one way to make money. :0 Opens more opportunities for us legit corps. :)

Who says the people complaining aren't playing. I'm playing right now. It's just with no worries of a Red Corsair popping my AFK cruiser at a gate, I've got a lot of extra time on my hands.
I'd much prefer to have to watch what my ship was doing. But it's not necessary anymore.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
Be careful out there. That other guy waiting in the queue for the gate MIGHT be a baby-munching frock-burner, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!- Lallante |

btw, to the people who have lost their way because the only thing that they can comprehend to make money actaully requires effort now. Most of us actaully have secondary corps or characters that make some money from pirating, it is fun. On the same note our entire gameplay does not rely on that one method. I pity the people that cannot enjoy the mainstay of this game, 'CORPORATION' based PvP. pod ya later! ;)

Jash, you simply suck at reading comprehension! I said 'most' and quite obviously you can't complain about the game if you don't play it. :) You posted just to be defensive and complain some more. :) thanks for the amusement.

Most people who love the game are actually playing it---they won't have the time to browse the boards. Personally I browse the boards for tips and ideas. Most people who love the game don't even bother with this particular forum and all its negativity.
Frankly this is a great patch, and so are previous patches, though I don't really agree much over on the overzealous Concord attitude and the container timing, but I can live around these faults---small price or incovenience to pay for the peace and order of the EVE universe.

actually slither, people scour these boards for hints on where people are, where good ore is, whats the best loadout of the week to be using, etc etc.
not everyone plays the game for 30 minutes a day and is still in an imicus.

I agree, most people that really enjoy playing the game, might only quick browse these forums during downtime, cause they are in the bloody game 23 hours a day ;)
Most positive thing i can say?
Play the game I'm enjoying it more after the patch, just please fix those busted bookmarks CCP !!

Setec, i think you are saying the exact opposite of 4000 other people on this forum.
The container time was a bad decision that has broken the game. Changing the stats of items and ship after release when it should of been looked at in beta, is a bad decision that has broken the game. Only releasing bug fixes in large patches every 2 or 3 weeks when they should be released as soon as possible is a bad decision that has broken the game. Having every small corporation and their dog in a battleship 2 months into the game is a bad decision that has broken the game.
I don't want to have to wait 20minutes to release a container, i don't want to have combat where 20 battleships are taking on 20battleships, i don't want to have to wait 3 weeks before the bug is fixed that could of been fixed 20days earlier.
There are people who are getting bored with the game after 2months of playing, there is no new content, not much to do after you have a battleship but to mine and hunt computer players, there is no storyline, there are no player built stations, the manual is referring to a game other then the one it was bought with.
Most of the people i talk to have got up and left and you are saying we get great support from the developers, the game is great fun and there are no problems...
edit: my definition of a broken game is a game that is either unplayable for whatever reason or provides no fun factor or escapism.

I agree completely. At least EVE was playable from release, unlike certain other MMOGs! *cough*AO*cough*
I've only been playing for about 3 weeks to a month, but i really love this game. I've played plenty of MMOGs before (Anarchy Online, Everquest, Earth & Beyond, Neocron) and EVE has a certain charm that really appeals to me... I cant quite place my finger on what it is, but whatever it is i keep coming back so thats gotta be somthing.

This is a wonderful game, all the better for having had changes made to it. Most of those changes have improved the game a lot. I say most, because the game's not perfect but I've never played one that was :P
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but then neither is counter strike. People don't all like the same things.
It's definitely not an instant gratification game, but one that improves over time, for me anyway.
The problem on these boards are that lots of people come here stating "facts". Which are actually just opinions.
Nothing wrong with stating an opinion, so long as you don't get all ranty when people disagree with you.
I just have to take a poke at Main's post though :D....4000 people ranting here?????
The same 50 or so people account for about 90% of the posts on this site from what I have seen. They seem to be split pretty well into -
1.Serious comments with constructive ideas. 2.Whiney whiney mememememe comment. (includes - I'm leaving because Devs won't change the game to the way I want it) 3.Rants and rabid flaming. 4.Humour. 5. Egocentric...."Hey look at me!" (includes Doomsayers - This game is doomed because I don't like it!)
If stuff needs changing or balancing then I for one am glad that CCP is prepared to step up and get on with it, it would be all too easy to just put their fingers in their ears and get on with something else.
My opinion - great game, not perfect, but the Dev team seems to be addressing problems raised by it's players.
EDIT ----
Sorry forgot number 6
6.Know-it-all posts (damn I thinks thats me :P)
